They admittedly do not test technology before selling !!!I travel to Beaufort once a month for hospital visits. I stopped at Goodwill and purchased a beautiful Desk lamp for six dollars. I drove an hour back home, made some room on my desk and plugged it in and attempted to put a lightbulb in the socket. The socket had been completely destroyed and removed. There was no assembly to screw the bulb into.A month later, I travel back to Beaufort with my receipt in hand to return the broken lamp.I mentioned how disappointed I was that piece of technology was not tested before it was sold. The pregnant assistant tells me that they don’t check technology. It is just too hard for them to keep up with all the Inventory. Then, after looking at my receipt tells me that they are unable to issue a refund because they only do that within a four day period of purchase. This Goodwill location sells technology. That is not tested! That in itself is disgraceful.Buyer beware!!!

A company that is suppose to represent for the Veterans and the disabled is all a joke none of what they say they stand for is true the store manager reported a veteran who needed a wheel chair to sit in during his shift which on this particular day he was working a double and because he was in lots of pain and could hardly stand he purchased a wheel chair and because he was not on a official break this store manager still gave him a hard time about the wheel chair even after this veteran was explained the situation and that was gonna fall if he didn’t get the chair and the store manager reported him to hr which turned into a termination for this veteran and also for the cashier that rung him up all of this was not necessary especially when no one reprimands the store manager that is clearly intoxicated every day tothe point where customers have made complaints and also employees because you can smell it on his breath and he reeks of it DO NOT work for Goodwill or donate take your items and business to other thrift stores that actually represent what they stand for they have favortism they overwork and under pay the employees that they do have which is a little amount because no one stays because of the poor treatment a lot of issues are thrown under the rug and hidden from the CEO and also from human resources of what is going on these stores and this includes the bluffton store the newest located by the sams club location where the store manager there is allowed to curse the workers make them cry on a regular be rude to customers be a bully and. had has severalcomplaints and many employees quit including managers and leads but because she is favored by the district manager all the issues have been hidden and thrown under the rug also .some things needs to change immediately what kind of store manger sends a message via text to another manger that is not even on duty that day to reach out to an employee to tell them they are terminated and when that employee ask for a paper with a reason they tell the employee they don’t have to give any kind of paper or proof for the reason because it is a at will state that’s just pure unprofessionalism at it’s finest

Found prices on some items good and others a bit high for the type of item. All in all good!

The manager, Ms. Gadson, is a rude, two faced manager who abuses her employees. She talks a big game of "working hard" but actually manages very poorly and picks favorites. She bullies quiet employees and laughed at my disability. Her management style, or lack thereof, is what's truly laughable. There were plenty of other good people who came and went because this company and its policies drive decent employees away. I used to LOVE shopping at Goodwill, but I will never shop here again, not after seeing what the employees endure behind closed doors. If you support abusing low-wage employees, by all means, have fun shopping at Palmetto Goodwill.

I found a few good items to sell in my online store. Prices here are higher than others in area.
