Caveat emptor. Bought a used 2012 BMW X5 "on the quick" because a similar car my wife had was totaled after she was rear ended. One of the bigger mistakes of my life. Car was driven up to me in Charleston with numerous warning lights on. The dealership put two new tires on the front but had two old messed up ones on the back. There was A DENT that didn't show in the pictures above the rear driver's side wheel. The car hadn't been detailed. The rear wiper didn't work at all. The passenger side door handle had essentially melted into some type of sticky goo. Long story short, $5000 later and I finally have this thing in decent shape. Stay in your lane Stokes Honda. Stay in your lane.

No no no. I was deceived and lied to. And given fake promises. I dealt with BERT G. Great guy wish the best for him and his family, but you can't just deceive and lie. Decided to buy a car from a farther shop so I wouldn't have to deal with him. Don't forget when I told him to stop text, calling, and emailing me that he continued to send A LOT more. Forget this place, go somewhere else!!

The most amazing group of people to work with. The manager went above and beyond for us and I would send anyone I know looking for a honda to them! They actually care about what you want, a fair price and want your business! I couldn't be happier with buying my daughters first car from them.

I bought my Honda CRV from stokes , which was a disaster. Customer Service was very bad. I put money down on vehicle and they drove my car to Jacksonville Florida accruing more miles on it. I bring my car for a oil change and my vehicle has oil on visor, steering wheel and gear stick when I get it back. Jeremy the rep assured me they would clean my vehicle when I came again however when I get there he has amnesia. I reported to Mr. Patterson and he said he will take care of it. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in the treatment of my vehicle . Trying to find another dealership ( Honda) to take my vehicle to.

Horrible experience at Stokes Honda, Beaufort, trying to assist my brother with an ongoing service issue. "We fixed it" on more than a few visits, with the car being kept at the dealership for weeks, only to find out they didn't fix it. $375 dollars later, the car has been returned to him with another "we fixed it" guarantee. Yes, right up until the time it doesn't start again. Worst part of the experience was the nightmare of dealing with the sales manager, Paul. "Let me speak with the service manager, and I'll call you back." Never did - no surprise. Just more falsehoods and avoidance. Even better, left a message for the owner JJ Stokes to call me back. "I'll mark it urgent" the receptionist said. No call back - no surprise. Even more falsehoods and avoidance. Offered Paul an opportunity to return my brothers $375 on the first call ... "not my department" ... great response. Useless! You'd think if someone there was smart enough, the would have figured out that when you take someone's money and don't do what you promise, that you should return the money. Also, might help you avoid the many, many, bad reviews I'm going to post on all of the sites that people use to judge whether or not they can trust a business to be a good partner when things don't work out. Falsehoods, avoidance and uselessness are not what I would consider good business traits. Avoid doing business with Stokes Honda - Beaufort.

Awesome service guy Brett! We drove in from VA last night and unfortunately hit some massive road debris from an accident on 95. We were concerned about some noises afterwards. We called this morning and they saw us right away! Great customer service for sure!

Steve the salesman was very polite and helpful. The used car manager and dealer manager were less than helpful and quite condescending. Refused to budge on $500 and wasted 3 hours....only to call and text a day later to try and put a deal together.

Like every auto buyer that is looking for that " Right " vehicle, I was on the hunt thru the many search engines on the internet. Finally, found that vehicle at Stokes Honda...even though I was 4 hours away. Well, I was pleasantly surprised with their hospitality with holding the Honda Odyssey until I could arrive. Greeted by Sidney Holmes, and Demetrius Capers We proceeded with viewing vehicle and a test-drive. Wife was pleased . Mr Holmes then took care of paperwork in an efficient manner. Very cordial and informative about the vehicle and easy to communicate. X-Pro Basketball Player.. Mr Capers helped with the process and was actually my 1st contact person who facilitated my visit to view. Jerry Fermin, the Business Manager was wonderful In taking care of his part to procure the vehicle. His easy manner really made us feel comfortable. Expert in his field. Like any purchase, sometimes you may not always have a smooth process, and ours did have a small hiccup. It was promptly dealt with and on our way back, we were directed to Stokes Honda North-- with Parts & Service Director -- Billy Depriest-- North Charleston-who took care of the problems in a prompt manner. He was quite concerned with making sure we were completely satisfied. Carlos Terry, Parts/Service -Beaufort, handled a part problem timely. Not go be left out ,was Terry - who answered questions via phone... So, my review is sorta like a visitor view and not a local one. I had never met these people before, so it was such a pleasure dealing with each one. Definitely a team effort with Stokes Honda. Many Thanks for the Great customer service I received. Definitely, makes Car purchasing a " Feel Good" experience ... Five Stars for this dealership- Beaufort and Charleston...

Tried to obtain pricing for a new car multiple times. Would not even provide me a price...if that is the way the treat someone before they are a customer I can only imagine how bad it would post the purchase. I can't vouch if I even liked the price or dealership rather than to state that there are a lot of other dealers wanting my business and I shall go elsewhere.

The salesperson I worked with was helpful. He is the reason I have given three stars instead of two. The financial manger was condescending and tried to take advantage of the situation by seemingly assuming I know nothing about cars or what I wanted. I found a used car on car guru that was on the Honda lot and double checked the dealership wen page to research the vehicle. When I arrived the financial manger offered me $500 for my car, before I left the manager of the dealership offered $2000. Both the financial manager and the manger of the store discredited my online research (of both car guru and the dealership site) stating they didn't know where those numbers came from. I had to ask for my keys back for over an hour while the studio manager tried to sell me an older RAV4 that he thought had low miles which turned out to have over 80k. I was told multiple incorrect things about elements of the car in an attempt to sell it. I left feeling like they were trying to take advantage of me. I ended up buying the other used car I found in Charleston for a much better deal with next level customer service.

Finally had a chance to do business with Stoke's Honda of Beaufort and they've earned a new nickname in our house: Strokes Honda. Car is in wrong name (should be under the cosigner's name, which we were told was possible), all documents go to the wrong address in the wrong name, and when they agreed to fix it (which took a very long time, but perhaps it wasn't their fault), it was still wrong. In a previous review I mentioned that the employees behave inappropriately on their work breaks in public (harassing a cashier, being rude to food service employees all while in uniform), I guess that's just the kind of people they hire. Really wish we could break our lease and do business elsewhere.

Purchased a Civic from them a year ago and salesman was great but from there went down hill. 1. person doing paperwork screwed up so that we had to pay for first service even with extended maintenance plan (He had been let go when we went back to have it fixed) 2. 2nd trip to maintenance is where issues really begin. Not a good experience at all 3. I was told that car needed an alignment per technician even with car having 19,000 miles (paperwork reads that customer requested alignment which I never did) 4. I was told that car air filter was dirty and needed changing OK ( paperwork states that both I and the technician said it was dirty)? never got changed 5. I was told that the in cabin air filter dirty and needed changing OK 6. When I went to check out I was given a bill for $186, which I replied I have a maintenance plan and that paperwork was quickly removed and when she came back bill was for $149.96 even with maintenance plan. 7. $65.83 was for in cabin air filter ($21.83) and labor to replace ($44.00) 8. $79.95 was for alignment that they said I needed (which I did NOT) 9. when I requested further explanation general manager went over it with me and stated maintenance plan does not cover air filters, labor was $110.00 hour, and that computer automatically puts in paperwork that customer requested things even when they did not. He also said that no car dealer includes all those things in maintenance plan and I know they do. I own a Ford and the Ford dealer included all those things. Wife owns a BMW and they also included all those things and a loaner car. In conclusion I will not recommend them for car repair or maintenance. Purchasing a car I did my homework prior to buying and told them what I was willing to pay for car and that went fine. Maintenance plans are a rip off here.

Patrick Haney is the best car sales person we have ever dealt with. He is first and most important very straightforward and honest. His professional attitude and non pressure tactics are a pleasure to deal with. Plus he has served his country as a Marine. We purchased a new CRV as a result of this and the fair honest values offered by Daryl on our trade ins. Daryl offered us top dollar on our trade in. He is also a pleasure to work with. You will not find a better team! DOug and Donna, Beaufort, SC

Started early, expecting to end up in another state to get the bottom line I needed...stayed right where I started. Though, it's a full-day process to buy a new car, I found that the team at Stokes (Wayne Berdeaux, Jerry Fermin, and others I met) did their best to expedite the process--respecting my time, needs, and wallet! :) (as far as car buying goes...) I was pleased to have them work with me with sincerity and ease. It was all about "me" and my new car! Thanks so much for a great experience!
