I mailed a certified letter on Saturday from NC. The letter didn't get delivered on Monday due to the business being closed. According to usps website it'd be delivered on the next business day, or Tuesday. It never left the post office. I called on Wednesday, and after the third try, someone answered and I got them to deliver it today. Either the owner of the business didn't get the pick up your mail note from the post office or the business owner or the post office dropped the ball. I'm so tired of doing other people's jobs, but they are government workers...

Always have missing mail. I get an email daily because I thought someone was stealing our mail so I would know what was coming for that day. Then I bought a mailbox that you have to have a key to open it because at that point we were having a lot of missing mail. Since having that mailbox we still have missing mail. At this point I'm really becoming angry. Just like everyone else we have very important mail coming to us. I understand it's a hard job, but it's a job you signed up for.

I have had 3 seperate deliveries in the last week from Amazon say they were transferred to the local post office from UPS and then just disappear. Seems to me someone at the post office is taking people's packages. All 3 of my packages were relatively high dollar items. Never had a problem up until recently so it tells me this a problem just began. I have had hundreds of things delivered with no issues prior to the past 2 weeks. I will be calling tomorrow. I am expecting things and never have them show up. I can see on my Amazon app where it was handed off to the PO at X time and then a few hours later it shows there is a delivery delay. Then there is an additional delay of a week while I presume Amazon is calling to ask where stuff is that isn't being shown as delivered to my house after it was dropped off by UPS at the PO and then has to be reordered and redelivered. I wish there was a way to surpass the PO and just have UPS or FedEx deliver my items.

Received a call from Blacksburg post office female employee after I'd made an online complaint on a priority mailed package that was to arrive within 2-3 days yet didn't arrive for 5days. Yet I paid around $9 for 2-3 day delivery. She called and stated, "yes it was priority mail but we don't guarantee 2-3days it may take 4-5days." Just wondering if you don't guarantee your services as they're advertised then why are you charging a priority 2-3day fee? Common sense seems lacking here! Think our local post office just doesn't care these days. Couple weeks ago I had to take mail one block away where it actually was addressed to yet was sent to me, and some days the mailman doesn't even come thru. No excuses not even Covid 19 as I am a healthcare worker I can't use that excuse if I do a poor job.

4.5 stars for the friendly staff at the counter, however the route carriers may need some help. I live in a trailer park and have no control over the holes in the road leading up to my road, yet my mail lady has gave notices to everyone that lives on this side in their boxes that she will not deliver packages and such to our doors because she refuses to drive down this road. We took it to our manager and he fixed it, yet she still does not deliver to our doors and yes the roads are falling apart again but not like they were. So can she really hold our packages hostage and make us drive all the way to the post office just to pick them up. It just seems strange that we can drive our cars on this road and not damage it yet she can't. It's part of the job right? To deliver packages? And what is with the late afternoon to almost always after the post office closes before she delivers our mail? Are they that short staffed?

I have been to this specific location several times and there has been a very long line every time that I have stopped in. There generally are not a ton of people there but usually only 1 or 2 people working the counter out of multiple checkout counters, causing the line to back-up. It's definitely hit or miss if the person behind the counter will be of any help.

I absolutely refuse to use this post office. I have lived here 14 years. The last 3 I have had to go to the next city over due to the absolutely terrible service here. Clerk is on her personal cell phone yelling at her kids while dealing with customers. Frequently the rural carriers put the wrong mail in my mailbox. They also put my mail in another persons mailbox that doesn't live remotely close to where I do. But because we have the same first 3 numbers on our street address they give us each others mail. They crammed boxes that should have been door delivers into my mailbox to the point they broke the mailbox hinges on the door. They have pulled the fairly new mailbox off the screws. They returned international mail I have shipped from the next city out to me less than 24 hours later. FOUR TIMES in one week. I finally had to go to the Gaffney post office and they got two post masters, and a post masters supervisor as well as two sorting stations involved BEFORE they finally got the packages mailed out to the United Kingdom. I have been mailing international packages since I opened my business in 2007.

Customer service, professionalism, wait time, etc all terrible. I think I've had one pleasant experience at this PO. The last 3 months I have had to go retrieve every single one of my packages because they failed to deliver it to my mail box, a parcel or the door all while our leasing office is open so they do have access to get to the door. We have 2 mailboxes one for letters and one for packages. I paid to have a package sent to WA. I was told it was insured for $50 and I would also get an email with the tracking info. The email never came. The package was never delivered and got sent back to me damaged and repacked. Luckily everything was entact with very minimal damage so I wasn't that upset. Just wanted the refund for the package. I was on hold with customer service for 2 hours. While the rep was incredibly nice she couldn't help and told me to go back to the PO. I took the box to the PO and she laughed and said 'idk what you want me to do go online' tried that it didn't work they told me again to go back to the PO and get the correct number for my area. I again encounter the same rude employee who seemed as though I was a bother to her. She huffed and puffed and went to get the number and read it off so fast I couldn't write it down I asked her to repeat it and she was disgruntled. I understand everyone has bad days but the fact that I have had 19/20 of my PO visits be unhelpful and miserable is unacceptable

Why do I enjoy going to this post office? The self service kiosk. Anytime I don't have to talk to an actual human being is a win in my book. Other than that, it's the post office. It's uptown and will be busy. There's usually a line, but it does move quick. Please be nice to the workers. I say this because I've seen some awful patrons in here. Seriously people, it's not that hard to be a decent human being. Take note when you leave: both 5th and 6th streets are one way in opposite directions.
