My husband has had the worst experience here. We are vacationing and use Aspen dental in our home state without problems. Easy to make appointment for tooth pain but after that it went down hill. We waited for over 45 minutes for them to get authorization for treatment and extraction. We left and they told us they would call in 10 or 15 minutes to schedule extraction. We finally got the call 4 1/2 hours later - glad we were not still seating there. Extraction done again with no problem but instructions vague and husband was told a prescription was called in. I went to pick it up after 4 hours and the pharmacy had no prescription. Call back to Aspen - would resend prescription. After 2 hours called pharmacy who informed me that they sent a fax to the office because medication ordered not available and to send a different order. Called Aspen again and gave them this info - said they would send new prescription. Called pharmacy 2 hours later - still no order. Office now closed. Hopefully the pain will be manageable with over the counter medications. NEVER AGAIN

I Scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and was met with a $1400 bill. I proceeded to cancel my appointment because of the cost of treatment and asked if there was a mistake, I was informed that they can’t do regular cleaning, just a deep cleaning. The follow up call informed me that maybe my insurance could be better because the cleaning is considered a MAJOR operation.Regardless of reasoning, I will be looking for a new dentist.

I had a good experience with aspen dental the staff is nice, but the only thing i didn't like was the surprising bills when you have to get crowns and things. if i make appointment i would like to know the cost of the visit before i drive to the appointment i don't think no one had 2 or 3,000 dollars laying around to spend if i would have know before hand i could have save at least half of the money. I understand that payments are discussed but you should also remind the patient over the phone " hey if schedule this visit it is X amount off dollars". Patient need to be reminded of the costs.

While Visiting Hilton Head from Michigan I developed severe tooth pain. I checked where my insurance was taken and lucky for me Aspen Dental in Bluffton came up. I called them Friday at 8 am. Was given an appointment at 9:30 am. Was x-rayed, diagnosed, and referred promptly That excellent patient caring is what makes Aspen Dental a great place for your dental needs

I made an appointment for teeth cleaning. The one star is for the easy appointment process. The rest of the experience was why no additional stars were awarded. I told at least 4 people that I was just there to have my teeth cleaned, but after 3 hours I didn’t get a cleaning. The following day I received an email with an estimate for a multi stage cleaning service for over $400! Needless to say I won’t be returning for any further waste of my time.

Aspen Dental had a terrible sales pitch. Their plan-of-care is impossible to understand. And their payment plan (whether I use or don't use insurance) is ambiguous.I have a regular dentist on Hilton Head. I love Southern Smiles, but I am looking to retire early and travel and I thought it would be nice to go to my dentist wherever I am traveling.This was a terrible experience

Was told I had a fracture in my tooth and an infection in my root so I needed a root canal and a crown or an extraction. Went and got two other opinions and both dentist I saw for a second opinion told me they couldn't find any fracture in my teeth and there was no infection in my root. The problem was my bite was off. Had I trusted this doctor I would be in over a thousands dollars of debit as well as missing a tooth. NEVER GO HERE!
