Crystal Nelson is an outstanding employee at the #7 Thurmond Way facility. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of banking there and has helped me tremendously several times. CSB should want to keep her on the payroll and offer her a promotion ASAP. You cannot go wrong with Crystal Nelson.

Spreading covid by forcing people inside to cash checks. I fired them as a bank, but when I cash bimonthly checks (written from their bank) they require two forms of ID to identify me AND for me to expose myself to COVID inside. They dont let you cash checks from their bank in the drive through, BUT you can walk in and have the same drive through teller turn around and cash the check. They do this purely to spite and inconvenience people, and despite knowing me they switched from requiring one ID to demanding TWO IDs after I replaced them. If you value bad service, petty vindictive sociopathy, and an unnecessary increased risk for COVID, then Coastal States Bank of Bluffton is the bank for you. Otherwise, 1 star is the lowest rating i can rank them.Edit: My office is literally across the parking lot. They "pretend not to know me" every time, despite having our trust account. The policy is literally in place to inconvenience people who have either taken their personal finances elsewhere or to frustrate people who dont bank with them. Its bad policy, but during a covid surge this is repugnant and exposes people to unnecessary health risks.

Recently used Paul Furr as our loan officer to buy our first home. We were so impressed! He went above and beyond the call of duty. He had our back the whole way through and was there to answer any and all of our questions at any time. What a great experience. Thanks for everything Paul!

Local banking at its best! They have helped me buy a dream home as well as manage all our business and personal banking accounts. They know you by name and are always a phone call away! Rebecca and the okatie team are simply phenomenal....we look forward to stopping at our bank!!

Great small town bank that really gets to know you. Paul Furr is the man to talk to if your considering a mortgage. He went out of his way to help us to finance our dream home.

This is a very nice local bank. The folks who work there are polite and helpful. I love banking at smaller banks.

I use this bank and used to recommend it to everyone but I cannot do that any more. They started charging over 7$ a month for a checking account and I'm pissed about it. Still banking here tho. Edit- CSB contacted me about this review in order to assuage my concerns. While I still find the 7$ surcharge little more than a greedy money grab by a bunch of twits who can't see beyond their own pockets (I'm looking at you shareholders), there are still alot of good things about this bank. The customer service remains top notch and the folks who work the branches are genuinely nice and interested in you. They are still local which is a rarity in banking, and there are actual perks to banking with csb, I won't list them here but you can find them on their website if needed. Finally, I consider three stars a decent rating, to me it means: no problems, things are done up to an acceptable standard and I wouldn't tell you not to use the service. I hope this lets you sleep a little easier, pr manager.

Friendly staff, they always go out of the way to make people comfortable. IE popcorn candy bars etc in lobby. The have several diffrent account types, and the personal attention of a small community bank.

Friendly, personal, helpful caring bankers as in the old days. I'm 88 and love this bank and especially their outstanding mortgage banker Matt Minasi.. Matt is not a mortgage banker, he's a dream maker.
