The store manager (ADAM) is incredibly rude. And although this may be a long review, it is well worth the investment of your time in order to understand how BED WORLD is not an admirable place for your business.Yesterday my husband & I called the store to ensure they were open. They were open & operating hours were noted on Google until 7pm. We arrived about 6:15pm & were surprised Bed World was closed. My husband called again & the owner (ADAM) said h’d be open tomorrow from 10:15am - 5:30pm. He also emphasized that he’d work with us for a great price. In the meantime, in what I THOUGHT was a helpful act & since my phone was still on the Google site, I input a suggestion so Google could update the store’s hours to what ADAM mentioned.With anticipation of making a purchase, I returned today. From the onset, ADAM was condescending. When I shared that I was interested in viewing mattresses that were in stock, he over emphasized I had to be ready to make my purchase immediately if he was going to take time to check for an item b/c his inventory changed every second. Without an immediate answer on my purchase, he couldn’t make a guarantee. I explained that wasn’t a problem. Then he questioned if I had payment on me. I explained that immediate payment was not a problem as long as he’d guarantee the mattress tomorrow.Agreeing upon a mattress, ADAM insisted that my son & I sit in two very specific chairs. When I attempted to look at a framed military item that was displayed about 8 feet behind him, ADAM moved away in a manner that could only be interpreted as offensive.He asked for my husband’s & my profession. I explained that my husband is former military. ADAM stated that for a military family he would take $140 off the purchase price, and that I needed to prepare myself to hand him my card in 1-2 minutes. He explained that if I were to call tomorrow & inquire about the mattress’s arrival that if he told me the item wouldn’t arrive until after 2pm that me calling him 6-times would only frustrate him and the mattress wouldn’t arrive faster. My response was that if he told me the arrival time, my husband would be there to pick it up. I also told him that my days were usually quite busy so I wouldn’t have time to call him multiple times throughout the day. I also explained that I’d take him at his word for the pickup time he said. He begrudgingly reiterated that he doesn’t give discounts lightly, & I should be appreciative.Feeling tension, as I went to hand him my card, I hesitated & told him I was actually not going to make my purchase.ADAM became borderline abusive in both his voice & body language. He told me he really didn’t want to do business with me from from the beginning because he didn’t like me telling Google his hours of operation were different. I shared that I merely gave a suggestion to Google in an effort to help others know what appeared on Google was inaccurate. ADAM began quoting his resume & credentials. He only tamed his demeanor when another customer entered the showroom. Then he meekly said that he’d like to do the deal. I told him I would go elsewhere. Unfortunately ADAM continued to berate & assert why he did not want my business.Never, in 53 years , have I experienced such an ill-mannered & sarcastically inclined salesman. As my son & I exited the showroom, ADAM continues yelling and taking jabs about how he didn’t want my business.ADAM, Hilton and Head & Bluffton are not THAT big. Your insatiable stance this afternoon was toxic. With gratitude, I share this negative experience so that others consider entertaining business transaction with someone other than you.As a parent, I was appalled at your indiscretion and will definitely use today’s experience as a teachable moment for my son.

Went to the store assuming that it was a Mattress Firm our GPS directions, found out it was called Bed World, my husband and I decided to give it a chance, we met with the owner Adam and he seemed very nice, we picked out a bed and was told it would be delivered the next day. On the next day Adam called us to tell us he didn’t have our mattress in stock, 2 weeks later we called our credit card because we began to get charged for the mattress we still didn’t have delivered yet, we called our credit card company to explain and they stated it would be deferred for 45 days for payment, ok fine, fast forward we received our mattress almost a month later, 2 weeks after getting our mattress we received a phone call from Adam stating he’s not going to get paid from our credit card company and he’s coming to get our mattress ? wait what? What company would come to get the mattress rather then contact us to fix the issue? Adam basically threatened us to get the mattress that we’ve had for 2 weeks!! Never in my life had I experienced this!!! I will never deal with Bed World ever again!! I definitely wouldn’t recommend someone who threatens to come take your bed rather then find another option first

If I could give this business "zero" stars I would. I have never posted a review about any business in the past, but I felt COMPELLED to warn anybody and everybody to stay away from this store. The owner, Adam Fazio is incompetent. We purchased 3 mattresses from him 3 months ago with a scheduled delivery date for March 31, 2022. From the beginning there were red flags. Adam was arrogant and presumptous. He also seemed impatient with my wife and I as we examined the mattresses in the store. My wife commented that it felt like we were "annoying" him. After negotiating a price for three mattresses, it still felt like we were taken advantage of...you know the feeling you get after meeting someone and then you feel like you need to take a shower because you feel dirty.In the end, Adam Fazio was unwilling to give a reasonable delivery window for us when I called the day before the delivery date. In fact, he didn't even have us in his calendar as being scheduled for a mattress delivery on the previous agreed upon date. After receiving payment for the mattresses 3 months prior and not appropriately scheduling a delivery date for the mattresses, he simply stated "I don't want your business, you'll get a full refund" and then hung up. I've never had such an experience with any business owner. As a physician, I understand the importance of working with people and listening to their needs. Our vila on Hilton Head Island was just competed this week and the delivery date was scheduled so far in advance because we wanted something comfortable to sleep on when we came back to the island to refurnish it. So disappointing. If you ever meet or see Adam...RUN!

Mattress Firm suppose to be a national mattress company!! 12:45 Monday not open!! No sign! No answer on telephone! Website says open 10:00 am till 7:00pm!!We have been to location in Bluffton and and Hilton head island! If it’s because you have no employees to work hope you didn’t vote incompetent Biden!!!!

If anything, listen to the one star reviews and note how triggered and unprofessional the owner is in his responses to them on Google. They paint a very clear picture of this dude who loves to screw over anyone including military members such as myself. It’s quite comical to me that I, at less than half his age, am so much more mature than this guy. This is not Matress Firm Corporate, it is a franchise of Matress Firm and can do what they want. They do not have to follow Matress Firm ads or policies. We had a defective matress they would not make good on. We went in to check on Temperpedic matress got redirected to Beautyrest, I currently have almost $4,000 on dispute with Matress Firm Pooler Ga at Bank of America.
