My husband and I took a little day trip from Spartanburg up to Campobello, SC, to check out Country Peddler Antiques & General Store. We were looking for a hostess gift and picked up a flour sack kitchen towel with a beautiful nature design and some handcrafted soaps made by my friend Susan E. I also picked up a vintage German kitchen scale for my baking, Amish popcorn (a bestseller!), a cotton bread sack to keep our daughter’s sourdough loaves fresh, and some clove and teaberry chewing gum that is my mother’s favorite. We’ll be back soon to explore the other two buildings on the property. Such a charming store!

This is a treasure trove for those hunting antiques. There are 3 buildings of antiques and staff are friendly.

The Country Peddler is not just a place to shop, it’s a place to relive memories of yesterday. There are so many “oldies but goodies” of all different types to explore. I especially love perusing the toys! And the owner, Joseph, is happy to tell you about the items he has in the store, the history of the store and the area, and anything else you’d like to chat about. We love coming and visiting this place. ❤️

Cute little general/antique store in an old house. The prices are super decent. You can still get candy for 5 cents like you did in 1968!
They also have vintage salt and pepper shakers, which I collect. The outbuildings have old furniture. This is a really nice stop to make when in Campobello.

The best little “blast from the past”antique & country store we’ve seen all weekend & we’ve seen about 6 of them over the last 3 days while visiting the area. Fun toys, old fashioned candy’s and gifts from old to new —antique furniture too. Be sure to check out the barns out back.

We stopped for antiques but really the main focus here is the general store items. The owners have tried to recapture the feel of the old general store and do a good job. Very friendly and helpful staff. There are a few old out buildings and the towns old grist mill is part of the property.

I love meandering through all the old things, even the smell of "old house" had me very nostalgic. You can always find things that speak to you, yup taking this home!
