My wife tried to apply here for 2 months now and Mr. Charles told her if she could start at 4 that would be fine. I talked to my boss to work out leaving early and told that to Mr. Charles when he addressed me to let me know that if my wife could start at 4 that would be great I said my boss is all for it so of course she can. Well 1 whole week later no start date and she calls, well Mr Charles then tells here she has to start at 3 but went ahead and closed the position anyways before even letting her know he changed his mind. He told us both to our faces 4 would be her start time and would contact her with a start date. If that’s the type of management running this place then I’m happy she isn’t working here. Awful how he can lie to a mother trying to make extra so we can care for our daughters.

Rude rude rude! First of all their store is a mess. Merchandise is just thrown onto the shelves half of it not in the place it is supposed to be. They are a listed FedEx drop off location but three times I have gone with a package and their scanner has not worked. Rather than taking the extra minute to type in the tracking number and be able to accept the package, they tell me that they aren't required to do that and turn me away! Pick another Dollar General but make sure it's not the one on Pine Street because they were no help and very rude also!

To be completely honest I’m sad that many of the good employees are leaving because of issues with their pay some are not receiving their pay when they are supposed to be paid weekly, many of the employees that I know have families who work to put food on the table, bills to pay, and have to have gas to get back and forth to work or doctor appointments for themselves or their kids. What this company is doing is completely irresponsible and unfair to their employees that are doing their very best to do their jobs. I hope dollar general headquarters see my post and try to fix their mistakes but then again the company is greedy and wants to work their employees to death so they don’t honestly care.

The store attendants are never at the work station! There’s no presence of customers concerns or needs and just a overall bad experience

They can't keep the self checkout going, it's usually is out of paper or something. And it sometimes takes a while for a cashier, I guess they have other duties.
