Never book Alamo through a third party like your bank. We booked our rental car with our Wells Fargo reward points. Zero customer service. Throughout the day, we called Alamo multiple times, letting them know that our flight got postponed and we weren’t going to be there on time to pick the car up. Alamo said we can’t do anything about that. They won’t refund us our money. They want to charge us fees for not showing up even though we called them 5 times make a freaking note and contact location so they know it would be so simple.. they. Could not help us. It was late Wells fargo was closed and the location will you pick your car up couldn’t do anything to help us very disappointed. Had to rent another car for double the price.

Car was just what I needed for my trip. Pick up and drop off were painless and easy. Only thing was, I was charged for 1 gallon of gas evidently because it was not full when returned? I filled it the night before and drove to the airport the next day and gage was still on full. Somehow they figured I used a gallon of gas and got charged for it....really?

Great experience from beginning to end.We were looking for our vehicle class when we got to the garage and one of the ladies assisted us to the cars and we chose the one we liked the most. Our car was clean and comfortable.The return process was quick and seamless. Received an emailed receipt right away.All staff we interacted with were helpful and pleasant.Would 100% rent a car from this Alamo location anyday!

Had a great experience in Charleston! Robbie at the counter was very helpful, fun, friendly, and gave us good references of places to go in the city. Then Christin set us up when we picked up the vehicle, providing us an upgrade to help us with space. She gave good advice for choosing the proper vehicle next time. Great experience… thank you!

The accelerated check-in was so easy! And Alamo’s flexibility saved us when our flight home was canceled. We were able to extend our rental, change the return location to drive home, and even got a larger vehicle. A positive experience all-around!

Service was very good, pleasant. We were told to choose from any cars in an area they specified, however some cars unknown to us were from different company. Not a big deal we found out minivan. It was new, nice but the cups/bottles were not cleaned out. All in all a good experience.

Our Alamo experience was pleasant from beginning to end. The reservation process was easy. In addition, Alamo provided a coupon “Plan Ahead Special” which was helpful. We chose the “Skip the Counter” option before our pickup time. We were able to walk directly to rental parking, choose our vehicle, and immediately leave without having to stop by the counter. The keys were already in the vehicle. Upon returning the vehicle, we were able to drop off and head directly to the airport terminal. We had a great experience with Alamo Rental and would highly recommend their service.

Family rented 2 full size cars at Charleston International Airport and we had the perfect experience. Both checking in and checking out was a breeze. Attendants on both ends were very professional, efficient and friendly. (We did do the accelerated check-in online ahead of time.) There were 2 vehicles there to choose from that were just what were looking for. And both were super clean! (And no additional driver fee for spouse.). We chose Alamo because of its higher rating. And they did not disappoint!

Easy to pick up. Easy to drop off. Inside car clean. Fairly expedient to check out. BUT I worried a little. No examination of the car but I made sure to take a lot of photos in case they tried anything... so I'll keep that for months "just in case". Also when I picked up the car there was bird poop on the passenger side handle (and dripping down) so I didn't appreciate that... and didn't want to be responsible for it. I don't think they ding people for that. We can't control birds but I heard some stories so It would have been nice to have a person there to answer questions like that. When we dropped it off 3:30 AM we were worried because push button start and we were told to leave car unlocked and there's no proof you dropped it off? Only person we saw was a garage worker but he didn't understand anything we asked him. Not impressed that there was nobody there? We'll see what happens. I filled the car back up to full, but will not rest till my cc statement comes in. I'd liked to have had a person tell me it's all good.

Rented with Alamo at Charleston Int'l Airport. All went very well at the rental pickup, car was ready, easy check-out and went on my way. Very good customer service.Upon return, nicely received and friendly service. Will work with Alamo again.

I rented a car recently while in Charleston and Alamo was the choice I went with; I'm very happy I did! The prices were great, the selection of cars was perfect for Charleston weather and roads, and the service was amazing! Everyone was VERY friendly, answered all my questions and were just a great starting and end point to my trip!

Alamo/Enterprise recently sent us a claim due from early June 2022 for the amount of greater than 1200 for damages to a rental vehicle. Upon picking up a Jeep Wagooner from the Charleston Airport branch in South Carolina, we walked the car and did not find any issues with the vehicle. We returned the vehicle in the same condition as delivered to us back to Alamo Charleston Airport. Fast forward to 2/10/2023, we receive a letter from Alamo/Enterprise saying we owe them money for damages. We got our insurance company involved to help with the investigation. Some email communication back-n-forth between Enterprise/Alamo's Damage Recovery Unit and ask them to revert sending the claim/bill to Collections, but I received a collections notice anyways. Not sure if he just ignored our email request. Eventually our insurance claim representative tells us that the spare tire was put on the vehicle and the original tire was missing. Note: The spare tire looks exactly like the other wheels/tires. Neither I or the Alamo representative walking the car noticed this. Fast-forward to me visiting my brother. I tell him about our issue with Alamo, and he mentions that one of the tires did look a little off. Alamo missed this issue from of the previous rental walkthroughs with this un-noticed damage and handed us the car for our vacation. I repeat, we had zero issues the the vehicle, did not have any need to replace a tire/wheel with a spare (that looks very similar to the other tires/wheels). Alamo must have not issued a thorough inspection of the vehicle or taken any pictures from the last few rentals before us. This is what we are requesting from them. They say they have none to provide. Alamo/Enterprise is going after the wrong client. We just happen to be the latest customer where they noticed the original wheel/tire missing. So angry and annoyed, will never rent from them again. And for god's sake. Take video evidence from each and every rental car company you do business with before driving the car off, so you don't make the same mistake.

Experince went well. Employees were friendly and helpful. Only minor issue was that I did the precheck in and it sounded like I was supposed to be able to walk up to the car and drive away but there was still a check in process. Maybe because this was an airport rental....not sure. The app made it sound a bit easier then it ended up being.

I rented a vehicle from Alamo and left my coat inside upon return. I reached out to Alamo less than an hour after leaving my coat and was assured they would retrieve it. I then reached out everyday after for a week with no response. They responded more than a week later stating they don't have it! Horrible customer service!!! Excellent thieves!!!
