“Great shop with lots of inventory. A little something for everyone. Has true antiques and vintage items. Really great selection, and family owned and operated which is always a plus in my eyes.”
“Ms. Charlotte is the one stop go to woman! If you need to pick up the phone & have a beautiful gift sent to or in honor of your loved one; she is the one to call! I unapologetically & completely trust her to select the most beautiful, affordable & fitting gifts for my daughter. If I could, I would visit this gorgeous shop weekly, but we are all not lucky enough to reside in the holy city all year round. Please visit, her selection is ever changing & stunning! Her being your personal shopper is an added bonus. Cheers!!”
“The best store in the State of SC. The staff is super friendly and if you're looking for a unique gift for any occasion or just browsing for yourself- this place has it all. There's no place like it. Its a must visit if in Charleston”
“Patina Market is a treasure hunter’s dream! You never know what you’ll find — from homemade and upcycled pieces to vintage, antique, and brand-new gems. Every corner is full of character and creativity. It’s the perfect mix of salvage style and fresh finds, and the kind of place you can lose track of time in (in the best way). Always worth the stop!”
“I love coming here every few months to see what's changed. The owners have a great eye for salvaged items, and I admire their mission to promote more reuse of materials. One of my favorite purchases from Architectural Antiques & Design was an antique fire insurance plaque made of plaster that was hanging in their back garden area. We have it hanging on our front porch for the added protection. Great place for treasure hunting :)”
“I always find something cute and unique at this store when I’m visiting Charleston. The staff is so friendly and gracious. Nice variety of items and good prices.”
“This is my favorite antique spot in the Charleston area. The people are friendly and make you feel welcome. I found a lot of little treasures and I found so many good deals on jewelry and scarves. A lot of cool various cultural pieces, the lady mentioned the estate sales came from old sailors so a lot of cool Chinese, Japanese, and a few Korean pieces.”
“Amazing!! So many cool treasures and vintage finds—I wanted to take everything home! The staff was super sweet and made the whole visit even better. If you’re in Charleston, don’t miss this place!”
“Timeless. I love visiting this shop. This shop landscapes a delicate equipoise between the new and the old. I always leave inspired by its flawless taste and fresh balance. He is a delight to work with and learn from. So glad Mathew has a shop that is beautiful and welcoming. Go and I promise you will be inspired and return!”
“Walking into this exceptional antique store made me instantly know “I’m in the right place!” Meeting Andrew (the owner) only solidified my joy. He took time to chat with me and tell me how they select their magnificent and varied pieces. He also gave me references for crystal chandeliers and silver, and could not have been more kind or accommodating. True Southern Hospitality! To see his dear father (95!) still at work with his desk next to Andrew, spoke volumes about the character of the business and the owners and personnel ! .
I have found the only place to go for the finest antiques anywhere!”
“I have been a customer of David Skinner for over 7 years. The quality of the antiques are beyond compare and each time I needed something unique , they would somehow locate exactly what I needed. Trust and respect are the most important aspect in a relationship with any antique or art dealer. David and Bob have always been the most competent trustworthy dealers (really artists) I have ever been associated with and I recommend them to everyone. They are first and foremost just good people!”
“I am sorry to hear from most of you who had a rude and unwelcome experience here,,, I think it's a beautiful treasure cove of pretty little things ,get past the owner's unwelcoming personality and just enjoy the beautiful antiques ,there are plenty of antique shops in Charleston that are happy to share there treasures and we all should be more kind and helpful in these times ,take it in for what it is antiques and sorry to hear that most of you had a bad experience, move on go to all the shops we in Charleston should be kind to our tourist and visitors, it's still a beautiful shop.”
“I can’t say enough about Acquisitions in Charleston. Their service is top notch and their selections are great. They helped me put the finishing touches on my condo downtown. Emily went above and beyond to help me.”
