Good branch with friendly employees. I'd call this a mid-sized branch. You can schedule services online or just walk in. Even though they have constant customer traffic in/out, I've never had a long wait, even when I didn't schedule and they squeezed me in. They usually have two tellers working inside (plus another for the drive-thru) and at least two bankers to handle other needs, plus someone greeting you as you enter and guiding you to where you need to go. I've noticed they often have employees who speak English and other languages, like Spanish or Portuguese. Free notary services for BOA account holders with qualifying accounts. Some services, like Merrill Lynch, are only available via scheduling on certain days of the week. Plenty of free parking. Overall, I've never had a bad experience at this location.

We went there today for an “appointment” to open another savings account. We arrived early and then proceeded to wait 15 minutes past our appointment time not even to be recognized for being there. We saw all empty offices and a single staff in the office helping some people. They need to hire more staff for not double book appointments. We sat there with 2 kids under 2 and eventually just got fed up and left. Our next appointment will be to close all Bank of America accounts and transfer to our main bank, truist.

The bank cashed a chek for me less 8$.that is their fee for a non account holder.i at no time was informed of said fee. If I was given the choice I would have taken it to my personal bank. I said something to a manager of sorts on the way out. I was gladly informed that I can open an account..This is my problem. Like a programmed sheep this manager regurgitated a corporate policy with a smile.(i cant bank with a company that is this petty)does he not realize that non account holders for what ever reason are being taken advantage of considering their customers write checks on their accounts. If I had a check to cash for 8$ I would leave with nothing. And they would say have a good day! Crazy huh.. it is profiteering at its finest.

Compared to the other BofA West Ashley branches, this location on Sam Rittenberg Blvd, is the most helpful and efficient location for conducting bank teller transactions. It is worth travelling to this location. The second best West Ashley location is the BofA on Savannah Hwy, in the Harris Teeter complex that is by the Avondale neighborhood of West Ashley.

They were not able to help me with what I needed after I rushed to get there before closing. They did inform me of how to resolve my issue by phone and my immediate problem was handled.

This is a terrible bank. I do not trust these people and their practices. I had a horrible experience there when my husband and I attempted to put my name on his account and remove his sons who lived in another state. They would not do that unless he was here to sign papers or for us to have to go thru customer service and draw out the situation. In addition, my husband needed checks and they said it would be a week or so and that they could not give him any temporary checks to pay bills. It is more convenient for me to help my husband with my name on his account. After that we attempted to open an another account and because my credit was frozen for safety purposes, they wanted me to unfreeze my credit temporarily when there was no reasonable explanation, just a lot of moronic excuses. They had my picture identification, SSN, etc. It is just a way of controlling people. I have never had an issue like that in any bank and I have had my credit frozen for years.I would never trust them with money and what ridiculous policies they may come up with next. We just walked out.

I have spent countless hours trying to get a copy of a check to the IRA thru billpay. I was left on hold for exorbitant amounts of time and requested it be mailed to me. Never received it. I did this on 2 seperate occasions since I was told it would be 2 weeks to get it. So a month went by. Today I went to the bank to ask a BOA rep to call them for me and have it faxed to the branch so I could have it. I was told to sit in the lobby and call myself. I was on hold for 40 min and had to leave for an appointment. I called again after my appt and was told it would take TWO business days for a fax that, quite frankly, should have been sent the same day I requested it. I tried to call the Financial Mgr to tell him not to expect the fax to come for 2 days, using the card he gave me, and it was a number to a different branch. When I found & called the correct number, I had to navigate a phone tree that would end up saying "everyone was helping other customers" with no way to leave a message. I did that about 49 times before finally someone answered and I was able to tell them the fax wouldnt be there for 2 days! This is HORRIBLE customer service. I should be able to access copies of checks sent via bill pay anytime I want to on my own online. This was infuriating and it is not over yet.

Will not print a courtesy check to transfer my money. Gave me expensive options or using an app. Sorry that I don't trust an app to send big money via my cell phone. Just a long, negative experience

The teller working 12/11/21 at 9:00 am at the location in the same shopping center as barnes and noble and TJ Maxx was just plain rude. Very unprofessional. Not helpful. Just rude.I would out her name but she was not wearing a name tag.I just opened my account, this was my first in-person deposit since I use direct deposit for my paycheck. I walk up and tell her that I want to deposit a check I hand her the check and my ID. She says I have to leave, fill out a deposit slip, then get back in line. She was not kind, did not explain why this made more since than her helping me, or anything. I wasted another 10 min in line because of this.As someone who has been a teller I can tell you this would NEVER have been accepted at my bank.If it is policy be kind, apologetic, and explain why. Don't just say, "You have to get out of line, fill out a deposit slip over there, then get back in line."I have NO idea what my account number is. I literally spent 45 seconds (at the MOST) writing my name and address to get back in line and wait 10 minutes after already waiting 5 min. I now want to close my brand nee account because of the quality of customer service.

An African-American lady at the counter had a very bad service attitude. Because I don’t know how much my cash is. I asked her to use the money counter to check it for me. But she let me liquidate myself. And let me go aside. I can't do this lady's behavior. Are your Bank of America cash counters a decoration? I don’t make such low-level mistakes in other banks

I arrived today at 12:20pm for some services regarding my accounts. The hours posted online(google) and the hours posted on their entry door that is taped outward facing is inaccurate, not up to date, and just misleading. The signage on their entry door indicates hours have been reduced from June 16 2021. The hours for the lobby this Friday August 6 2021 would have been 9am to 4pm. The lobby's doors were locked and lights were off when glancing inside thru the glass. Many fellow customers continued to arrive at the parking lot and were met with a disappointing reality that this location is closed/temporarily closed/reduced hours/closed down, I don't know which of these are the actual state of this branch.

Worst bank in the area! One person working in the whole bank and a line out the door. Only Bank of America on this side of town. I’m moving to a different bank.
