They put a hold on my check with no actual reason for doing so. Refusing to contact the writer of the check or the issuing bank claiming that that is the old way when TD bank did it for me last month. The guy claimed he did not feel bad for me at all and acted as if I was committing some kind of check fraud. As soon as the check does clear I will be removing my funds from Truist completely.

I was very anxious about going to this Truist because of the bad reviews, but we had a great experience. The location was large with several employees and there was no wait time. Mike helped us with a wire transfer; he was prompt and friendly.

As was mentioned by someone else, there is apparently only one person (other than 1 or 2 tellers) that works at this branch and, basically, he has no authority to do anything. My husband and I made an appointment to have some documents notarized and when we arrived at the scheduled time, this “floor walker” told us there was no notary there that day and that the appointment system is hardly ever updated. Furthermore, I recently called the branch (where no one works) and had to leave a voicemail since no one was available. I left my message and requested that someone call me back. This was Monday and the only call I have received was from someone who left a first name only and a number that goes to an automated system. Had she left her extension or last name, I might have been able to contact her but, instead, I listened to the annoying message over and over and over for 5 minutes at which time the system informed that it could not complete my call and hung up. I repeated this process 4 times over a 2 day period and have yet to connect with a human being. We always had excellent customer service from BBT which makes this situation even more appalling. We currently have 4 accounts with Truist which we will be moving to another bank shortly. With all of the bank failures that have happened recently, you would think Truist would do whatever it takes to keep its customers.

Stay away from Truist at all costs!! Locked my account for no reason for a month with no access to ALL my money. Finally unlocked it apologized said it would never happen again but then turned right around and released my funds back to me and closed my accounts… the hotlines you have to call to deal with issues are absolutely useless and horrible. Worst banking experience ever

I filed a fraud claim on my credit card in October. It is March and they have refused to resolve the issue after multiple calls and in person visits. They also continue to charge me interest and late fees on the unauthorized charges.

I had hoped that when Suntrust and BBT merged and moved to a newer and larger location this would mean that there would be more bankers to see customers. This proved not to be the case. Truist bank on Sam Rittenburg is a large, cavernous space with 1-2 tellers taking care of the walk-ins and drive-thru customers and one banker taking care of the rest. The result is ridiculously long waits for even the simplest of transactions. Dealing with them is, without a doubt, the worst banking experience I have ever had.

There's only 1 banker at this branch now, unfortunately no one else but her can do wire transfers, almost every office is empty, I think this branch is about to close.

This place was incredibly unhelpful. After having my wallet stolen they would not help me to get a replacement and when I asked to speak with a higher up the worker rudely didn’t even bother checking the schedule and just said that I’d have to wait at minimum an hour. If I knew the employees name I would report them personally for their lack of professionalism.

Deposited two checks through the drive thru equaling just under $12,000 and they give me a receipt for $1,160.00, had to drive back & was informed that they see it (the 2 checks on their end) but clearly does not show that online it shows only a deposit of $1,160 and a credit of $100 nor on the receipt they gave me!!! Then I was informed "unlike SunTrust we give you $100 of credit to use of your money until the checks clear" even though one of the checks being deposited was coming from a regular automatic direct deposit account! Can't stand this bank.. Customer beware! Watch your statements & screenshot your balances.. get paper receipts! I only stayed with them for the transition because of SkyMiles but it's really not even being worth it.. you can't even get customer service on the phone- they keep saying long hold times & one time I was on hold for over 6 hours! My debit card wouldn't work. Ridiculous!

Business hours states open until 5 pm. 4:53 doors locked. Can you be any lazier when you already work banking hours! Pathetic
