Thanks to 2020 and slack in my work, my body also became too weak. As I joke, my gluteus was not maximus. I began having issues with my lower back and knee. And then came a sciatic pain, which really woke me up for a 'tune up' on my body. Upon my chiro's referral, I signed up for some training by a pro who understands the mechanics of the body. Now, I am not a gym person or even a person who likes to be physical. And then there is the introverted personality I have that prevents me from wanting to be around people. I got to say, a month in with training, I feel comfortable with going here. AND in small steps, my body is starting to realize her new potential. I know I am not the easiest to motivate or work with at times, but it seems Mike likes the challenge. Both him and Brett are passionate about their work and it shows. In today's world, finding people like this is like finding a needle in the hay. I am beyond grateful for these men and their knowledge, humor and grace. They really make working out fun and informative. Thanks guys!

Went to check out CKC early today and met Brett, he suggested I sign up for the 5:30 class. After finishing the 1 hour workout, I have to say that it far exceeded my expectations! I had so much fun that the hour felt more like 25 minutes. I also got a well rounded workout with some relatively simple but technical exercises. From my very first movement that I made, Brett’s laser observation picked up on some of my inefficiencies and he provided me with quick and effective correctives and cuing, cleaning up my technique almost instantly. Form is everything and Brett is clearly an expert in what he does. I look forward to my next workout at Charleston Kettlebell Club! Thanks, Brett! Matt VanSlyke

I found Brett's gym when searching for a kettlebell gym online. From day 1 he listened and understood exactly what I was looking to do and tailored each workout to my specific needs. I also have a minor hip injury(my fault) and 2 doctors could not really figure it out, but Brett studied my movements and figured out at least how to work the area. He sent me home with his own stretch band and special movements that help relieve the pain. You can tell he cares and that makes all the difference. I highly recommend Brett Bracken!!

Charleston Kettlebell is top-notch and has the most knowledgeable and attentive trainers in town. Mix that with their new Amazing 12 program and you have guaranteed success. CKC will provide you with immense knowledge of proper lifting technique, nutrition, and more. I have also gained friendships and support. I have reached maxes I did not think were obtainable for me and only continue to grow and improve. I strongly recommend CKC and the A12 program for anyone looking to improve their health and themselves. 10/10 would recommend

I learned more about strength training from Brett and Mike than I ever did with personal trainers at my local gym. Even with their group classes it always felt like I had the one-on-one instruction I needed to do the big lifts with proper form. Now I've got the foundation and conditioning that I never would have gotten on my own. I'm very glad I took these classes.

Worked out here with a group while in town for Christmas. Mike gave me a bunch of great tips on improving my squat form, and kettlebell swings. Recommended and I’d go back when I’m next in town.
