Classes here have become a part of my weekly routine. My only regret is that I didn’t start sooner! Love this place.

I can't say enough great things about this studio! After trying a lot of other hot yoga studios in Charleston, I finally found my new home. I've tried quite a few classes from multiple instructors now and each instructor has a great flow! Thank you for creating a safe space for us to flow.

Community Yoga is one of the happiest places on earth! It is both a dynamic and vibrant yoga studio, and as indicated in the name, it is also a dynamic and vibrant community of people. Caroline, who owns, directs and teaches, has worked heart and soul to make this place what it is. She has a staff of extremely talented yoga instructors who are all very competent and who are also highly diverse. They teach a variety of practices with each instructor having their own take on emphasis and styling. This makes for an especially rich yoga experience which can be either focused or varied, depending on one's taste. The community aspect flows from the breadth of people that call the studio home. There are hard core power yoga fanatics, but also yin and stretch devotees. On any given day it is possible to find people of all ages, backgrounds, occupations and practice levels. And almost universally, they will smile and say hello. I have learned a lot of yoga at this place, but also have made many good friends and I enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who is either local or just passing through.

A yoga studio for EVERYbody…men, women, brand new yogis, intermediate, advanced yogis, young, middle aged or mature ~ all are made to feel welcome, appreciated and comfortable at CommUNITY Yoga!!As for a previous comment about yogis talking loudly before the class… For the record, I have recently found CY and drive almost 30 min from E. Cooper to practice here and I haven’t (yet ;-) made many connections where I am talking before a class, so I am not coming from a place of defending myself. I, too have been to a lot of yoga studios around the world over a few decades now, as well as doing my yoga teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center over a decade ago where I was schooled that the word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. I thoroughly enjoy hearing people uniting before and after class and the beautiful energy that comes from that commUNITY.We all have different preferences and experiences and that’s what I love about yoga is the practice of acceptance and finding inner peace even when the world as one interprets it may seem intrusive, impolite, not respectful, or even not having the proper etiquette.Thank you Community Yoga (and Caroline :-) for cultivating a special sanctuary where we can feel a part of this sublime commUNITY <3

The best yoga studio in CHS. Community it is and I have become good friends with many people. The other thing that is great about the studio is that there is a range of classes and each instructors have their own style. My favorite class is the 75 minutes power yoga class on Wednesday. I come out both spent and replenish at the same time. My happy place.

Community Yoga is my home away from home! As a fitness professional for over 20 years I need a space that I can escape to. I love the freedom the instructors give you to move and breathe at your own pace! Everyone is warm and welcoming ?? I love being a part of this “Community”♥️ Its definitely my safe place to land

Without Community Yoga, I don't know where I would be these past few years. I walked in a complete novice over 3 years ago and now I go 3-4 times a week. The instructors are friendly, positive, knowledgable, and encouraging. If you have ever considered taking a yoga class, this is the place.

We took three classes here over the course of five days. It’s not really hot yoga more like warmish. Worst part was in my twenty years of yoga classes all over the world this is the ONLY studio I’ve been to where prior to class as I’m laying on my mat getting centered everyone in the room is chatting LOUDLY. It’s intrusive, it’s impolite and theses yogis have clearly never been schooled in proper etiquette. Talking is for the lobby not on your mat. I’ve never experienced that. It’s not respectful to other practitioners in the room. Overall their instructors are knowledgeable with some fun sequences and I see they have a devoted community. Good for a local studio but some room for improvement.

I was traveling through Charleston with a friend and we signed up for Tymothi's class. Wow she was such a great instructor -- really gifted -- great playlist and really really good teacher -- she taught us how to get into positions (not to just do them)-- the class was one of our favorite classes ever -- THANK YOU TYMOTHI!! If we are in Charleston again we hope to see you

Walked in for 10am yoga, I booked it and didnt pay attention. As soon as I opened the door I was welcomed by a slap of dry, hot air. OMG, it is HOT yoga! I wasnt expecting it but I love hot yoga so extra points from me.Class was challenging, fast, strong. The instructor was supportive and kept an eye to recommend adjustments when she saw me struggle. The flow was different from the usual and I discovered new poses ("little cricket"?).The studio is on the small side but it is a nice space. There is plenty of parking in the area. They also have a great intro package of $49/1st month unlimited, great for locals or for travelers like me.I cant wait to continue my learning with these yogis. Namaste, y'all!
