This is not a CVS. It is a pharmacy attached to a medical office. The CVS is bare bones, not a real store.

This location was so bad, I left without my prescription. What in the ghetto mess is going on here? One star is way too much! I would never go back there ever

On January 1st, I got my medicine filled and didn’t open it for a couple of days later because I still had some from my old bottle. When I was ready to open the bottle, I opened it and there was a white substitute inside the bottle along with broken pills. So I immediately contacted the pharmacy because, at this point, I don’t feel safe to even take the medicine. They looked at a picture of how the pills looked going inside the bottle pre their procedure and stated that the pills were not broken and that it had to be damaged from me. Mind you, this is some high cholesterol medicine (simvastatin), not hydro medicine, and if I had damaged the medicine, why would I make a big deal about taking my medicine? I damage? Okay, fast forward, I asked for the higher-up person in charge because, at this point, y'all are acting like the error is on me and not them. So I was given Ashley's number, who is the next person in charge that's over this area of CVS, and being that I called her 14 times, she wanted to first address that this is her personal cell and not a hotline, so I didn’t have to call that much because this wasn’t an emergency. Are you serious? So me getting damaged medicine isn’t an emergency? What if I had taken that medicine and, Lord forbid, it was something different than what my bottle stated, and I died? Would that then have been an emergency? Like, I understand that things happen, but as I explained to everyone that I talked to, run your cameras back since you insisted that it’s not an error on y'all, 'cause I know for a fact it’s not on me. But they refused. I have been getting medication from here for years. This has been my first time having an issue, and this will definitely be my last time because I will be going somewhere else. Then, when I picked up the replacement medication, the pharmacist (white lady) didn’t get her name, going to say, 'Yeah, 'cause it wasn’t damaged when we gave it to you.' Really, lady? How do you know? Were you the one that filled the bottle? Oh, okay. So again, if you run your cameras, maybe you’ll see what actually happened, and then will I get an apology? No, 'cause y'all people swear y'all right, but it’s all good. I'll go somewhere else. And FYI, let y'all person at the window know that even though someone comes at closing, it don’t give him the right to close the window on them until the medication is filled. But again, run y'all cameras, and you'll find a lot of underhanded things happening 'cause I’m sure I’m not the first person that had an issue with y'all giving them damaged medication

Everytime I go here..which is minimally 1x a month to get my dogs prescription, they act brand new like this is the first time I've gotten meds here. They never keep the prescription on hand and have to order it, which I know, but they try to hand me back the script. No. Order it my dog still needs the meds. They take sometimes over a week to get it filled. Super annoying.
Slow service and not particularly polite.

This location is a drive up pharmacy only now. I stopped by today to pick up a prescription for my elderly mother. One of the meds was left out, although I paid for it. My mom noticed a while after I got to her house. She tried calling, but could only leave a voicemail. I stopped back by and sat in line starting at approximately 1:05pm. There were 2 cars ahead of me. 1 advanced shortly after I arrived. The other sat there for close to 20 minutes. The pharmacy closes at 1:30-2pm for lunch, so the worker closed the blinds before the person ahead of me drove off. I was beyond upset. They wouldn't answer the call button. When I pulled off someone came out the front door and I explained to her what occurred, but she walked off and said there was nothing she could do, and I had to come back at 2. This was their error and the prescription had to be either in the holding bin or counter. She could've asked the young man from the window to quickly retrieve it. I do not live in that area, but was helping my mom while on that side of town. My mom called and finally spoke with someone after 2pm, but was told they were filling in and the manager would be back on Thursday. He didn't take her information. He told her she had to call back. Absolutely, awful customer service. If this was a more affluent section of town, I'm sure they would be do better. They are the only pharmacy within many miles, or I would get her to move her prescription.

The webpage says that it's open, but it's closed for construction. This has been the case for months.

Over the 12 years that I have shopped at the Dorchester store the staff has become less qualified and rude. Terrible turnover. Today the store is closed with no reason???

They’ve sent me to Walgreen’s more than once because they were out of whatever prescription I needed to pick up. They text and say they’re working on it, but never text to say it’s out of stock, so you go all the way over there and they fart around for 15 minutes and then tell you to go to Walgreen’s.
They’ve also sent me home with the wrong prescription and yelled at me when I returned it.

I'm loathe to blame the employees, they're likely understaffed and underpaid, but I had to contact other CVSs than my own in Goose Creek because my medication was only in stock at either the Dorchester Rd or East Montague locations and they said I had to talk to them on the phone to verify they were in stock. I sat on hold for 20 minutes for each location before hanging up. I like my local CVS but I can see why these other two locations average 1-2 stars. So I either wait and just not get my medication (not really an option) or I call Walgreens. If it's due to the short staff, I feel for them. CVS needs to do better. I never got far enough to experience the poor customer service that most of the other reviewers seem to have had.

I waited for their conversation so they can enjoy themselves. They don't pay attention to you at all. Then after 20 minutes you can contact them. I asked one question if they had a specific medicine, to which she told me to step aside while she served the client who was behind me. Is this some kind of respect? why should I wait?
