Used H&R Block for the first time this past year. Received a notice from IRS that there we were going to be penalized for a error. For six weeks I emailed and left voice mails requesting an appointment with my H&R tax advisor to correct error but never got a single response. Walked into office, they couldn't see me but made an appointment for the next week. On the day of the appointment, walked into office and found it was completely empty. Not one single employee was there. Waited for an hour and no staff ever showed up so, posted a note and left. Came back the next morning, walked right in and found the office unstaffed. It was completely empty, again/still. There was another note next to mine from the day before - looks like they blew off another customer. It also appears that no one ever came to lock up the office. It had been empty and unstaffed for at least two days. Called B&R customer service both days, confirmed my appointment but customer service was not able to reach any staff from the office or help me. All customers' financial documents, social security numbers, banking information and such was just sitting out on desks. Anyone could [may?] have walked in off of the street and copied or stolen crucial financial data. WHAT IS H&R BLOCK GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS SERIOUS SECURITY BREACH?
