Absolutely HORRIBLE! One of the worst experiences I have had in a very long time with any kind of business. They charged me $75.00 to change one front light on my car. I paid it, but thought it was high. I said to them that it seemed high. L and P Automotive said that it would cost me $170.00 if I had the bulb changed at the Service Center. Afterwards, I decided to go to the Service Center to just ask what they would have charged. They told me $29.99 for both parts ($12.00) and labor $18.00). The Service Center also showed me the quick way they would have replaced the bulb. I asked them if they would print that up for me on their letterhead. I took this back to L and P Automotive and showed them how high they were in comparison. They had charged me $30.00 for the bulb and $45.00 for labor. Their labor took so long because they had no racks free to lift my car and were replacing the bulb in a much more difficult, inefficient way. Even though I showed them what the Service Center had printed, they wouldn't believe me. They called me a liar, the B**** word, and other curse words. They would not give me a discount, but what was even worse was how angry both the owner and his wife, the secretary, became. They were cursing at me to leave. I had no intention of staying. The wife of the owner was screaming and cursing at me! Their behavior was truly unbelievable. I was in shock at their unprofessionalism. These people overpriced hugely, but even more disturbing is they are simply crazy acting in a scary way.

Zach is awesome, his mom Mary runs a great shop and Peter the other mechanic is great too. I bring my cars there whenever I need work done and highly recommend them.

Try to cook an appointment no one answers the phone they want you to leave your VIN number your vehicle make your a model and the problem. And if they're not interested in the work they just don't call you back. That kind of attitude means I wouldn't get my car fixed there.

My husband called for service and a day and a half, never got a call back. So he left a one star review which was miraculously, replied to by LP Automotive. They stated that their receptionist has been in and out, sick and they had a problem with their phone system. There was never an apology and the whole response reeked with attitude. They don't have to worry about us ever calling again.

I have been a repeat customer at LP Automotive , and brought my Jeep Wrangler in today for a diagnostic test for ABS light popping up frequently. The mechanics ran the test and took it for test drive, and were able to determine exactly what the issue was, and repaired it within the hour. So, I give Mary and her team , Five Stars for excellent service and the ability to determine the correct issue, and saving me money with unnecessary repairs.I highly recommend this shop to anyone !!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

LP Automotive is fantastic - I've taken my car here for several years the team is genuine - Mary will always work with you on finding the best parts for the right price and Zack and Pete will make sure the work is done correctly - I've even had my tires ordered in and shipped there to be replaced - I always appreciate the honesty and upfront discussion before something takes place on my vehicle. Keep up the great work!

I described my issue telephonically and explained what the forums said were common issues based on the symptoms I was experiencing, and oddly, they tried to "debunk" those theories over the phone, at which point I explained that I'm not a mechanic, nor have I played one on TV, and I'm not attempting to diagnose my own vehicle, that's why I called to set an appt. I was just giving some info I found on the issue as I was asked, "what's going on?"I finally interjected, "are u guys willing to look at it, or not?" My appt was set for the following wk. I dropped it off on the morning of my appt, and at 5ish pm, I was called and told they didn't even look at it, and I should take it to the mechanic that had done my plugs a few months earlier, and that my keys would be in my truck! They kept my truck all day, after having to wait until the following wk to get in, and nothing having changed from the time that I called to schedule the appt to the time they called me at end of day on day of appt, only to tell me they weren't even going to diagnose it. Then left my truck unlocked with key inside. For me, the waste of time along with the lack of care is what did it for me.

First of all if there was an option to give a zero star review here I would. But there isn't so I will go on to describe my girlfriend's experience with LP from yesterday. She brought her car in for a seemingly simple request. She had pieces of her grill that were hanging down close to the ground that she asked LP to re-tie up with wire so that the pieces didn't drag on the ground. This fix had been done previously and lasted for weeks. However when my girlfriend took the car into LP, Mary took it upon herself to cut the hanging pieces of the grill off the car. She did this without checking with my girlfriend to see if she was okay with this repair approach. When my girlfriend got back in the car, all her lights were on and there were warnings that the following 4 systems were no longer working properly: ABS, secondary brake collision, blind spot monitor and pre-collision. Mary tried to claim the car had these conditions before her actions which is untrue. My girlfriend subsequently took the car to another shop where they informed her that LP had cut the wire for the ABS system for sure and likely the wiring for the other three systems that were now malfunctioning. The second shop gave my girlfriend an estimate of $418 just to fix the ABS wire, not including the other three system connections. My girlfriend subsequently had to drive from Charleston SC to Pittsburgh PA for work after all this happened and was extremely fearful for her safety now that NONE of her safety systems were functioning properly. Based on this experience I highly recommend you avoid this shop based on the incompetence and denial practiced by Mary who apparently didn't understand the consequences of her actions before she took them and also didn't seek customer approval prior to taking action. My girlfriend drives around the country for work, and has for many years now, and has frequently had to use repair shops all over the US. This was her worst experience BY FAR! Suggest avoiding this shop altogether. Understand the owner of this shop is Larry Palmer. I hope Larry reads this review and takes appropriate disciplinary action towards Mary's actions of yesterday so that they are not repeated with future customers.

I called up there this morning about my truck brake issue. I was told to bring my truck up there and drop it off for the day service, but when I got there I wasn’t greeted with the best attitude was told there I didn’t call up there somehow... not the best attitude; decided to go somewhere else. Read my other reviews I usually give thorough ones, and they’re usually positive.

Absolutely recommend using LP Auto. They helped us with carburetor issues and installing an EFI in a 1984 school bus. Very clever & knowledgeable staff, and customer service was excellent. They kept us up to date on the tedious swap, and showed us exactly what to look for. I will be taking all my vehicles here from now on.Services: Electrical
