They really only shuffle your clothing around, look at maybe two items, and then tell you your clothing isn't what they are looking for. Also, the mens section is all just plane t-shirts with a variety of colors which is super boring. Honestly it's not worth it to try to sell or buy there. The one in north charleston is way better.

I usually don’t write reviews, today I decided to take in clothing that were named brand Aeropostale, Guess, Forever 21 in good condition, not one item was accepted they were even looked at because they were still folded the same way that I had originally. I wouldn’t recommend bringing in clothing that will not be looked at.

Extremely disappointed!! I brought clothes and such in to this store multiple times based on what the employees told me to bring in and they NEVER bought back anything. One employee would tell me one thing and another employee would tell me another. Clearly there is a lack of communication. On top of that they were not friendly. I will not be going back to that store.

I took a large bag full of high end clothes that were never worn or only worn once. Did not take a single item. The clothes in my bag did not even look like they were touched. Platos closet always emphasizes that they are looking for more plus size clothes, but did not take a single item from my bag full of size 14-18 clothes. My sisters have also have taken clothing but staff wouldn’t take any clothes from us. Platos closet only caters to tiny white short shorts crop top women. Me and my sisters do not meet their characteristics. They did not think our items were gonna be good enough because we arnt white. You are better off selling your clothes on depop and poshmark. Or just take your clothes to goodwill and avoid the hassle.

Staff are always really nice! You are able to return clothes-and get store credit only, as long as you keep the tag and reciept. They do carry name brands, not just any old clothes you'd expect to find at a Goodwill or Salvation Army.

Used to love shopping here... until it got too uncomfortable because of the employees, especially Gracie. They are the most judgmental people. They act like you're annoying them by giving them service. This business is run by a clique of immature high schoolers that completely takes away from any positive shopping experience.

I lugged two giant bins full of clothing, bags, jewelry etc into this location. Some of the items still had tags on them, name brand pieces from J Crew, Michael Kors, pieces from local boutiques and more. I don’t even think they thoroughly went through my items because I was sure they would end up wanting to keep more than the 1 item they did out of at least 50 other items. I genuinely think just because I’m not a little teeny bopper wearing short shorts and a crop top, they decided I didn’t have anything good. They definitely cater to a certain “look” here, and I did not meet those characteristics. Even though I did have tons of clothing that would have worked with what they do like to sell. I really don’t think they thoroughly went through my items at all. I know what items are “good” and what aren’t, and there were several good pieces in my piles worth buying from me. There was even a brand spanking new pair of Lululemon leggings in one of the piles and I guess they didn’t want them! Oh well, to Goodwill I go.

zero stars if possible. literally just don't waste your time or energy on this place. i took in at least $500 worth of new/gently worn clothes, shoes, jewelry, and bags. half of them still had tags on them, and they didn't take any of it. the text service said they would be done at 12, and they called me back at 11:15, about five minutes after ithe service said they started sorting. the two girls at the counter (one with ginger wavy hair and the other with a dirty blonde/brunette pony tail) looked and talked at me as if i was bothering them. the reason they told me they couldn't take anything was that some of the brands they don't carry. i'm just confused on this one as she said "some" and there were nice brands in there, such as Lane Bryant, Marshall Brands, and Hot Topic. i'm planning on taking all of this to a different consignment shop, i'll update this review with the results of that trip. -5/10, rude employees and a waste of time.

Prior to going I had read the recent reviews but I was going to be in the area and I am moving in a month. I am trying to get rid of as much as possible so figured whats the harm in going and I didn't have high expectations. (I've been to other locations but first time at this location) I brought a bag of clean folded clothes in a reusable bag, and got there a few minutes after they opened. The girl who helped me seemed nice - signed me in, took the bag and said it would be 20/25 mins. I said great and left. I ran errands and came back to find my bag wasn't ready (through the website) I checked the website where you sign in to see where in the process it was. Mind you it's been 50 mins at this point, and it still says in queue. I kept refreshing it- still in the same place (queue). It's over an hour and I refreshed it again says the same thing and then I get a text saying my bag was ready to be picked up. Thought it was weird because it will usually go to sorting and then finalizing on the site, but just chalked it up that maybe the site was acting up. I go in and they tell me they aren't taking anything. I said okay fine. Thought it was a little strange, I had new with tag items from this season from brands I know they take and seek as well as other items that were maybe a year old. I go back into my car to look through the bag to see they didn't go through it. Everything was exactly how I handed it to them. The only difference was a few pieces moved on the top. I do not recommend this location.

The teenagers working here immediately scolded me for not bringing my items in a bag. One proceeded to look through my Jcrew, Express and Nike items that I've only worn a few times and said they are too old and worn. Meanwhile, as I'm looking through their shop, I saw four dresses with make up stains. Can't say anything good about Plato's.

Very rude and Unprofessional staff. No experience in folding clothes, or how to treat customers.Seems as they only tend to those of their liking as far as their genre and color of people.
