Took a group of 12 out for dinner and a few drinks. Service was spot on. The food was incredible. Good management, they CARE about the customer experience. Prices were fair, especially for the location. I'm going back!Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, elevator

My husband, sister & brother-in-law ducked into the Revival Restaurant on Sunday evening for lite fare after a day of festivities in downtown Charleston. We ordered Starters and Sides to share. Kristen helped us select the Fig & Prosciutto Salad, Seared Scallops, Jimmy Red Cornmeal Fried Oysters, Charred Bradford Okra , Rice Sourdough Bread and Wild Mushroom Risotto. Each dish was rich, yet delicate and very tasty. We enjoyed the experience and Kristen was so informative. And she helped us with recommendations for the rest of our Charleston getaway.Vegetarian options: Mushroom risotto and Rice sourdough bread were enjoyed by my vegetarian husband.

Incredibly disappointing. We’ve stayed at the Vendue many times and had high expectations for this restaurant given the wonderful experiences we’ve had at the hotel. Service was very slow. Waitress explained that they were understaffed but we were in the restaurant for a hour before our first course came out. Scallops were cold and undercooked. We sent them them back and the waitress said that day was the first day things had ever been sent back and it happened a few times that evening. Low country pirlou had no flavor at all and the shrimp and grits were just boiled shrimp.

Dinner last evening was wonderful from appetizers, to drinks to main course. There was no room for desert. Our server was Kristen who was knowledgeable, efficient and personable. We are locals and will return definitely. The she crab soup is the best in Charleston and we’ve sampled it in just about a every restaurant. 5 stars!Parking: East Bay St. and surrounding streets have metered parking with free parking on Sundays. It is limited however there are plenty of parking garages within walkable distance in the area.

Our server’s name was Sara, she was absolutely fantastic throughout the duration of our meal. The meal itself was delicious. We ordered the grilled bread and fried oysters to start. Probably my favorite version of bread and fried oysters that I have ever consumed. The cocktail I ordered was a Valentine’s Day special and it was also fantastic. Revival has the Best She Crab soup in Charleston! We both ordered the Low Country Pirlou as our main dish. It was delicious. I will say this, I first tried the dish a few years ago. I noticed in the photos over the last two years that the broth has been removed from the original dish. The current rendition is fantastic. However, the original was probably the best dish I’ve consumed in my life. It also happened to be our anniversary. Revival did a phenomenal job making our anniversary special! We will absolutely be back!

We chose to make reservations at Revival for our family after our wedding. We had a party of nine people. We had never been, so we were taking a big risk, not knowing how it would be. I am SO GLAD we chose Revival. The service was spectacular! The food was nothing short of amazing! The entire night was something we will never forget. A few months later, I decided to surprise my husband and take him there, just the two of us for restaurant week. Unfortunately, they had to unexpectedly close the night we had our reservation due to mechanical issues in the kitchen. The manager allowed us to reschedule our dinner to another night that worked for us. They even allowed us to receive the Restaurant Week menu and prices for that night even though Restaurant Week was over. They go above and beyond to make sure their customers are pleased with their experience. Not just that, but the food is DELICIOUS! Every single thing we ate from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts were amazing! Revival is a place that we will definitely continue to go to for years to come!

Decent service and atmosphere but the food was disappointing. Started with the grilled octopus and the amount of octopus was very small. I'm not sure how they got a tentacle size as small as they did off of an octopus but at least it tasted good. One of us had the shrimp and grits and it was bland and slightly overcooked. We also had the grouper and it was also unremarkable and bland. The crispy brussel sprouts were good and probably the best part of the meal. The portion size of the shrimp and grits was a little light on the grits but ok on the shrimp. The grouper and brussel sprout portions were fine. To be fair, it wasn't a terrible meal but definitely below expectations for fine dining downtown and the price.

Checked this restaurant out because of its menu. It did not disappoint! Our server, Vick, was knowledgeable about minute details of the ingredients used, as well as specific details of the wine selection. The food was creative and exquisite.

My aunt and I dined here on Christmas Day, and it was by far the worst meal we had during our time in Charleston. We sincerely appreciate restaurants and any folks in the hospitality business who are willing to open on Christmas, a time when most are closed. The folks at Revival were so accommodating and terrific when I was making the reservation- the menu looked like what we were looking for, and the reviews (while a bit mixed) were overall promising. The best part of the meal was certainly the amuse bouche; and while the presentation (a silver gift box with a red bow) was delightful, it was hard to miss the food-smeared finger prints on the outside of my aunt’s container. Turns out that was an omen of the meal to come. The salad was deplorable- 4 measly little pieces of beets, a pistachio or two, and no dressing to be found. The greens tasted old. Sadly the meal got worse from there. The portions for our entrees were microscopic- so small that we actually laughed. We hoped that the taste would make up for the sad, soggy appearance of our meal but it didn’t. My short rib was luke warm, but my aunts pork tenderloin (all 3 oz of it, if that, and all dried out end pieces) was pathetic. Their offerings of sides were so measly it was offensive. The toffee cake truly was the size of a mini muffin, tasteless, and so dry— like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for days. The chocolate cake was the highlight of the meal, as it was the most edible thing we ate and we scarfed it down because we were still hungry.I was really looking forward to this meal, and perhaps we just had an off night, but please, if you don’t want to be open on a holiday, stay closed. The bill came to nearly $250, gratuity included, and we did not have any alcohol— I live in NYC, and can confidently say this meal was a complete ripoff.

The food is delicious presentation is amazing. We got the scallops, the fillet mignon, shrimp and grits, creamed corn, bread. My only grievance is the portion size on the shrimp and grits was small but other than that everything is otherworldly.

This was a rough experience all the way around. Service was rough from hostess to server, food was ok. Ushered to the Rooftop as they were running behind, no problem; though once seated server announced she had been working since 10am, totally get it as a person who works 12s. $400 for 3, too much for all the above and many more issues, yikes. Maybe just a tough night for these folks, the typical menu would have been great.
