Tamara is a wonderful person to work with. She is incredibly knowledgeable in her field while staying up to date with any new guidelines. She genuinely cares about you! In her lending position she helps many individuals and families get out of difficult situations while supporting them through the whole process. Tamara is who you want on your side because she ALWAYS has your back and will fight for you. She’ll get you pre-approved before you even start looking at houses and before you pack. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Tamara by being a sponsor of the Tri-County Veterans Support Network. She is very involved in the community and helps connect veterans to local, state and national resources. She even donates part of the proceeds from each of her closings back to the organization. I highly recommend working with Tamara!

I had to do a VA home loan and I have friends from my old unit that did it by themselves that told me how long it takes and how difficult it is. It was great to have someone that took care of it for me that knew what they were doing and had an ample amount of experience

We were referred to Tamara by our realtor, and were more than impressed with every part of our experience together. She was incredibly responsive, answered all of our questions, and worked through several challenges with our builder who pushed us to go with another lender. In the end, she quoted us the best rate, worked with us to find the best method to keep our rate due to the build timeline, and when we had to shift lenders to satisfy our contract, she gave us the documentation we needed to lock the new lenders into matching her rates and fees. She is the best we have worked with and if at all possible we would have stayed with her until closing. She is amazing!! We will try to work with her when we buy our next home for certain!!

I was shocked at how smoothly my lending experience went. For just one reason: Tamara Vandiver cares. From start to finish, Tamara offered the lowest rates anywhere. Her professional guidance meant there were no surprises and all parties involved received timely, accurate communications. Good on Movement Mortgage for encouraging a culture of customer service and professionalism. Thank you Tamara, for keeping my stress level about the same as sipping a cup of coffee.

Tamara was such a huge help when I was looking to purchase my home. She saved me from the horrible deal I was headed for and helped me find a better loan that fits my needs. I was so impressed by how she listened to my concerns and made sure that everything I was worried about was given proper attention, handled professionally, and communicated back to me effectively. Just when I didn't think I would be able to purchase a home from what other banks/lenders told me; Tamara told me "we will find a way to make it work". She was right because my interest rate and closing costs were both lower than what other offers, I had at the time. I definitely recommend Tamara and her services to anyone looking for an honest and reliable loan services especially any veterans. I'm so glad that I had Tamara on my side helping me with my loan because now I know I made the right decision in choosing who I went with to help me purchase my home.

Tamara helped me get a first time home mortgage at a great rate. I’m self employed so I knew there would be some extra hoops to jump through, but Tamara made it easy for me. I recommend her for your home financing needs!

Use with caution! Does not live up to commitments made Sadly, what started as a good experience ended up being a terrible experience. We started shopping our loan with several lenders seeking the best options for our situation. Movement Mortgage was part of that process based on a recommendation from a financial advisor. We were impressed with the easy online application process that Movement offers. However, another lender offered us a lower application fee and a better rate and term for the loan. We wanted to move forward with Movement, based largely on the recommendation we had received, so we asked for Movement to match the application fee and the loan rate and term. The mortgage officer immediately responded that she could match the application fee. In fact, she offered a discount of $395 which would have beat the other lenders fee! She also said that she would need "evidence" from the other lender in order to "take that to management" to match the rate and term. We provided the documentation from the other lender that included the rate and term that they were offering. The next day the mortgage officer indicated that "my boss says we can match". We were delighted and upon hearing that Movement Mortgage would match the rate and term, we agreed to move forward solely with them and to discontinue the application process with the other lenders with whom we were working. All of this communication took place between May 21 and May 23 and is well documented as it all happened via email. Things appeared to be going well and we began taking next steps including paying for an appraisal or the property which is required by the lender. Several emails were exchanged between the lender, the attorney, and the real estate agent about the timing and logistics of the loan and closing. We piped in asking if there was anything further required from us, the buyers. The lender did not indicate that anything else was required. Over 2 weeks later, on June 7, our mortgage officer called to say that in order to provide the $395 discount on the application fee to which she had already committed, she would need some further documentation from the other lender. I no longer had such documentation as, once we agreed to work solely with Movement Mortgage, I deleted the emails and communications with the other lenders. We sent her the email chain in which she had committed to the discount and asked again that she honor that commitment. She ultimately refused and even went so far as to insinuate that we were being dishonest in our dealings with her as we had "conveniently only sent the 1st page" of the other lenders estimate and then "stated you deleted it". While $395 is not a significant amount of money in the grand scheme of the entire mortgage loan process, it came down to the principle and the desire to deal with an ethical company that lives up to the commitment it makes to its customers. Reneging on that commitment made us concerned about what else they might renege on later on in the process when it would have been more expensive and painful to choose another lender. So, sadly, we cancelled our loan application and moved on. I would advise caution when dealing with Movement Mortgage.
