“This was my 1st time renting a Penske Truck for a move as I have always used U-Haul in the past. The Home Depot off of Magwood Dr in Charleston was close to where I was moving in Charleston so I decided to give them a try. From start to finish, the entire process was easy and ran so smooth. I reserved a 16' Penske truck a week in advance online and said I would need it from 9-4. The day of my rental, I showed up at the Tool Rental area on the right side of Home Depot. Sabri took down my information, verified my DL, had me sign a form and gave me the key to the truck in the parking lot. The truck was in perfect condition and drove smooth.They say the gas tank is full when they give it to you and to please return it with a full tank. The tank was over the full line and when I went to fill it up before returning it, I couldn't even fill up $20 worth of gas. That was a very pleasant surprise.:) I wrote down my ending mileage before returning the keys when dropping it off and that was it. They take a $300 deposit at pick up and I was re-imbursed the difference when I returned the truck. Rate I paid was $39 + mileage and it was very reasonable. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, a great truck rental and I would absolutely go with them again.”

But they arrived cheerfully and ready to go.

These two young men were efficient, knowledgeable and so polite! They did a fantastic job for us. They were really careful with our things, which had not always been the case with movers previously.

“As of Tuesday I officially became a first-time home buyer (FTHB as I've been calling myself!) and that means I will be spending a lot of my time at stores with the word "home" in them!!!First up I needed to buy a refrigerator. The Home Depot had deals going on until the end of November, so I wanted to take advantage. When I arrived to the appliance section the girl was helping another customer so I waited. I'd been looking at the fridge online for a couple weeks and knew exactly what I wanted. We got it loaded on her computer and luckily before paying I noticed it wasn't what I wanted! We backed the order out and found exactly what I wanted for the same price and more features.The next day LeeLee called me to let me know a model of my fridge was now on the display floor. So nice of her to take the time to call me as I really wanted to touch it and see it before spending such a large amount of money!Buying a new home is overwhelming. Shopping for things for a new home is overwhelming. I've found that if home stores such as The Home Depot are properly staffed the experience can be way less stressful. Otherwise you will find yourself walking around aimlessly in a warehouse full of very tall rows of LOTS of stuff.”

“The location was well maintained, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were under tremendous time restraints, and the owner was very accommodating, and the process was very quick so that we were able to meet our deadline. We plan on going back to purchase a vehicle that we saw while we were there. We would definitely use this location again for a Uhaul and we highly recommend them.”

“I booked a rental truck with this location before I saw the reviews and was a little nervous about the experience I might have but I had absolutely no issues getting my rental. The lady at the desk was nice and worked quickly. I can see why many people leave low ratings just for the fact the "reservation" is not actually guaranteed, but that is the fault of the company and it sets the service personnel up for failure. My main issue with this specific location is it difficult to find. It is located inside the Citadel Mall but there is no signage outside to tell you where to go, I just went in the closest entrance to where I saw a bunch of Budget trucks parked and found it that way. They could definitely make it easier to find. I was also concerned that there is no official review of the truck's condition once it is in your possession. Personnel did not review it with me and there is no online portal to post pictures of the condition you received it in, which is an unnecessary liability for the customer, they could blame damage you for damage you did not cause.”
