What a beautiful view of the water and enormous oak trees for shade. Loved all the activities of people walking and sightseeing.

This park is at the edge of historic Charleston. On the grounds are many huge trees, a pavilion, and a few nice gravel dirt trails. Parking will be tough. There is free parking along the edge of the waterfront, but in the neighborhood you'll need a permit to park. You can probably best enjoy the park by sitting and watching the water. Otherwise it's going to be a very very short visit.

Beautiful place to go for a walk along the water. Not too crowded and dog friendly. On a clear day you can see Fort Sumter, the bridge, Sullivan's Island, and probably some dolphins ?!!

A beautifully landscaped old park in Downtown Charleston. SC. Opposite the park is the ocean. The homes along the park and just beyond are stunning.Restrooms: Don't know about restrooms, although if there isn't one, there are restrooms in restaurants close by.Dog-friendliness: Yes. Leashed.Picnic area: The park is beautifully landscaped with park benches, fountains, monuments, etc. I imagine that people have picnicked here - in this very spot -- for HUNDREDS of years!

If you're a runner, the waterfront along this park is the place to be. It's gorgeous at sunset with plenty of sidewalk space to get in your miles by the water and through historic parts of Charleston like rainbow row. This is easily in the top five most beautiful runs I've ever done. Go at sunset.

One of the most iconic spots in Charleston by far. Beware at night in summer as the place is loaded with giant cockroaches.

Quiet and shady place to spend an afternoon napping on a picnic blanket with a crisp beverage in a brown paper bag. Beautiful views of the harbor at night too!
