I bought an expensive large frypan from this place and it was defective so I returned it and they refused to take it back and told me I had to mail it back myself. So I will never shop here again.

Very helpful staff. They also helped me resolve an issue with an online order that I was unable to resolve myself.

Today on 9/7/23 I went into William-Sonoma in Downtown Charleston on King Street, to get a wedding gift for a close friend. I already knew what I desired, which was a Le Creuset dish, my friends enjoy cooking, and would throughly enjoy it. The older woman and older man working there this specific day, barely spoke to me upon entering the store. She couldn't even extended the basic acknowledgment, such as "Hello" or "Welcome to the Store". Simple manners weren't extended to me and my spouse. Once it was time for me to check out the older woman was extremely cold and not helpful with any questions I had. She did offer to box up the item, which was the least she could've done. To be honest, I would've preferred she didn't box it up, because it was pretty much thrown into the box. The box is currently falling apart, she didn't even try to fix the box before handing it to me. I am going to have to go home and reconstruct the box to make it presentable prior to gifting it to my friend. You would expect better service from the staff at Williams-Sonoma, such a high-end retail store. I have been to numerous Williams-Sonoma stores, and have never been treated with such disrespect and rudeness. I have frequent the Williams-Sonoma in Columbia, SC, and have ALWAYS gotten superb service. For the people at Williams-Sonoma today on 9/7/23, the older woman and man, need to realize that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and treat every person that walks in that door with respect. I have never experienced such vile and racially bias behavior in a long time, but I hope this is a lesson for the older woman and man working at the store today. My money spends just like anyone else, whether you believe I can afford it or not is none of your concern, just be respectful. Have the day you deserve!

Williams-Sonoma is conveniently located right off King Street. The staff is friendly and really nice. This store, even though it is a bit smaller, is absolutely packed with items. Every Christmas, our family purchases hot chocolate! It’s the best.

I’ve also had the poor experience of a return order twice with this store. It’s so disheartening because I love the store and the items in it and when I’m shopping there directly it can be a great experience, but do not return items in store from online orders or registry items! You will not get your money back or e-merch card. I’m on the phone with their customer service department right now still waiting to get my gift card from a Christmas gift I returned in store and that was back in January!! And it’s been a nightmare with their customer service department ever since. Please, King St. locations, HAND OUT GIFT CARDS PHYSICALLY! Because of this issue I’m afraid I won’t want to shop there again.

This store stole 70 dollars from me! We registered here for our wedding(big mistake use Crate and Barrel they're great) we tried to exchange some pot holders and dish towels for a different color. We were told we would have to return them get an e gift card that takes 24 to 48 hours to receive and then come back and buy the ones we want. That was 8 weeks ago and we still haven't received the gift card and we lost the merchandise. We been to this store twice to try to resolve the issue, this store is so poorly run it isn't even funny. We have also spent over 4 hours on the phone with them. Save your self the hassle and lawsuit and shop elsewhere. My wife and I again recommend Crate and Barrel, they were great through the whole process.

Bad service! Prioritize to serve white people and ignore Asian people’s request. Very different attitude when talking to different races. Unbelievable!

Oh man. The service and quality here has gone downhill. I purchase a $395 Breville microwave and it stopped heating. Came to return it and they don't accept customer returns anymore due to Covid?! Manager, Jamie, who has been there 5 years acted extremely annoyed when I asked questions about this policy. Spent over 2 hours on the phone w customer service, who had to call on my own, and finally got resolution but it was a huge waste of time. Go w Amazon. The service that used to differentiate Williams Sonoma is no longer there. Super sad about that.

Always fun to look around and think about all the gadgets to make cooking easier.
