This is the worst post office EVER. They don’t answer the phones, and they are holding my mail and returning it to sending. I haven’t received my mail since December.

This is the worst post office I’ve ever dealt with.
They never EVER pick up the phone.
I have had 2 missing packages that are marked as delivered in the last 30 days.
The ladies at the front desk are very rude and make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them just by coming into the office. I dont know what to do at this point, can’t contact them about missing packages, can’t have mail delivered elsewhere. Literally the worst case scenario.

I have never had a problem with the mail carriers in Chester, but the ladies working at the counter act like they are doing customers a favor even acknowledging them! They are so rude and impatient.

The ladies that work the front counter are very rude and need to be taught what proper customer service is. If you can't do your job without an attitude then you should find another job.

Scheduled a postal pick up for today 12/27/23. Mail was delivered but outgoing mail was not picked up. My request for pickup of outgoing mail was accepted by the USPS system, however the fill in carrier did not pick up out going mail. 11 packages not picked up. I am a third party seller on Amazon and when out going mail is not picked up ON TIME it reflects badly on my performance as an Amazon seller. This is not good.

Tried to call the USPS office in Chester, SC and found that they don’t ever answer their phone. Business hours don’t matter, I’ve let the line ring 60+ times and apparently no one there can be bothered to answer AND they cannot manage to deliver mail properly either. Sure wish this location had an employee overhaul and a new post master put in place.

Supervisor is unprofessional when asked her name she hung up on me. She is holding my mail illegally and I will be contacting the police. This lady needs to be fired and I’ll be sure to do my best and get ahold of the city hall and the government.

My daughter lives in Chester and had a delivery from the post office and while delivering the mailman damaged the mail box by hitting it when he left. This is the second time. The first time, the people that she rents from repaired the mail box. This time I took a picture of the broken mail box with the package on the ground. When I called them to ask how they can fix it, she told me that since we did not get a picture of the vehicle or knew the number off the vehicle that we could not prove that it was the mailman. That is the only delivery that delivered to my mail box. She did not want to listen to me at all to try and help me. She was very defensive and it not being them that delivered the package. I got the tracking number that says that it was USPS. We are very frustrated with the Chester post office.

Set up temporary mail forwarding May 3, then to stop June 25. I have Informed Delivery so I know what I am getting. Not all mail was ever forwarded. Missing several pieces. Since June 25, mail has not been delivered back to my home. I've called the local post office which is almost impossible to get a hold of--only after multiple tries did someone pick up last Saturday. I've filed two complaints thru the 800 number. They tell me they think Chester made an error in stopping the forwarding and it supposedly is being rerouted back to us. Person I spoke to on the 800 number says that Chester would be in touch with me--I've yet to receive a follow up call--then the Postal Service sends me a survey to see how they are doing--no response to that either. To the Chester post office--what if this was YOUR mail? Do you care?
