Esme was absolutely amazing! She was patient with me when I had no idea what I was doing, but she quickly caught onto my vision and executed it flawlessly. We haven’t seen the final paint up on the walls, but Esme was so thoughtful and helpful and inspiring. She gave great ideas and suggestions but never pressured. Her reputation proceeds her!

I'm a painter, I paint homes for a living and I have painted every kind of home all across Upstate South Carolina. I have bought paint in dozens of paint stores all across the Upstate. And this Spectrum store, in Clemson, is the best painting supplier there is. Esme and Curtis are nicest, most caring and most professional people in the business. They sell mostly Benjamin Moore paint and it is some of the best paint you can find, it's easy to use and very durable. Trust me, if you need paint or painting supplies, come here!!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Carter Color Paint Company, a Benjamin Moore paint store located in Clemson. My experience was nothing short of excellent, largely due to the exceptional service provided by Esme Carter.
From the moment I walked in, Esme greeted me warmly and made me feel welcomed. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the Benjamin Moore products they carried and took the time to understand exactly what I needed for my painting project. What stood out the most was her patience; she listened attentively to my questions and concerns, offering helpful advice and recommendations without ever making me feel rushed.
Esme's expertise was evident as she guided me through various color options and explained the differences between finishes. She made sure I understood the application process and provided tips on achieving the best results. Her passion for paint and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly admirable.

Esme sure knows her colors. She had great ideas for our projects and was spot on with her recommendations. It's nice to work with someone who has not only done painting hands on but now has a store and gives great advice. Since we're new to the area she was a great resource. In todays market there is great value in locally owned, operated and helpful.

The people here are so kind and extremely helpful. It sounds dumb but it actually makes me want to cry because of how rare it is to come across these days. They went above and beyond to help me with an issue I had with the Romabio Limewash Paint I ordered through Lowes. Lowes sent me an entirely wrong shade and told me they couldn’t do anything about it. After calling Romabio, their customer service referred me to Carter Color Co & Curtis helped me fix the formula to match the original shade I intended to purchase.Thank you guys so much!!

Esme and Curtis are the real deal. Thankfully, I discovered their business before painting MBR/Bath and a jack/jill bathroom a few years ago. Esme is so patient and made me feel so confident about our color choices and the BM paint specs that were best for our projects. Most recently, I met with Esme multiple times (and called her multiple times) leading to repainting the exterior of our home. That project was just completed today and I am beyond thrilled with the color combination that she suggested and we chose. Totally updated our home. I recommend them to anyone who mentions a paint project and even to those who haven't because someday they will be painting something. Go visit them and you will find out for yourself!
