Not the cleanest, we put towels on the floor to step on because the floor was nasty. Our room didn’t have a remote, and it took them an hour to find one for us. Wouldn’t stay here again.Rooms: Dirty.

Lawanda was excellent! I made a mistake booking my online reservation. She quickly and efficiently corrected my error. I will definitely stay here in the future.

ROACH INFESTED ROOM!!! BEWARE!!! Roaches crawling all over the walls and furniture and employees as well as management know about the "problem" and DO NOT CARE!!! The worse, nasty disgusting and disrespectful staff I have EVER encountered in my life! Unless you want to take home bugs from your stay, I suggest find another Hotel!!! BEWARE THE NASTY ROACHES, HAIR ALL OVER THE ROOM AND STAINS EVERYWHERE WITH A ODOR SMELL THAT WILL MAKE YOU PASS OUT! GROSSSSSSSSSS!

Let’s just say, don’t let the lower rate scare you; I promise you won’t be disappointed! The hotel is older and that does show with some wear/tear BUT you can tell it’s being taken care of and well maintained. The rooms all have a kitchen with a full size fridge and dishwasher. The hotel offers everything from pots and pans to dishwasher detergent; you won’t need anything! Talk about a money-saver to be able to eat in vs eating out at every meal. There is no breakfast here, but that’s okay with me since I seldom make it out early enough to have breakfast anyway. They do not offer daily housekeeping but they do stop by daily to give new towels and drop off any amenities you may need. That worked well for us so no complaints there. The front desk employees were always so sweet and my daily encounter with housekeeping was always so pleasant. I wish I knew her name because she was the kindest and most sweet lady and i would have loved to brag on her.My only complaint was the AC unit would start making some absolutely horrendous sounds and they did send maintenance up immediately but it seems to be an issue they are unsure how to fix. Over the last 9 days I’ve found that so long as you don’t run the AC on “fan” then it usually won’t happen. Either way, wasn’t big enough of a deal to me. Cold air blows cold and hot air blows hot. That’s all I really need. They have a great size gym and laundry mat on-site. Laundry is FREE which is amazing and so helpful to those of us traveling on business who don’t have to run around town trying to find a facility. Making it free was just icing on the cake! P.S. Thankful for a laundry basket…that made my life so much easier!Overall it’s a great value hotel and when I make it back here next week, this is where I’ll be booking again!Rooms: Spacious. Clean. Lots of amenities. Full kitchen. Oversized closet.Nearby activities: Main strip of Garners Ferry so pretty much anything you need is nearbyWalkability: Walking distance to food establishments

?A big NO, especially if you are a family. We changed 4 rooms and in everyone was an issue:1st there were cockroaches everywhere.2th had a horrible smell, not properly cleaned and I had the feeling that they didn't changed the sheets.3th the stove stopped to working4th the kitchen sink was leaking.?We booked threw the hotline and requested for a crib, but when we arrived we discovered that is not a service provided anymore since COVID era (COVID become the perfect excuse to lower standards for to many stuff nowadays).?The fridge in every rooms was very noisy.

Close to 77 and is one of the spacious extended stays I been in. Patio with TWO Grills are a plus for a pool, that's good enough to splash in. Nice nook area for office work outside of a room near entrance and gym is basic. About 2 exits away from Base extremely per friendly.Highly recommend.

This is mid class hotel, situated reasonably close to Fort Jackson. It is reasonably priced, but does not include a continental breakfast. It appeals to those coming to celebrate their basic trainees graduation, and some construction and utility workers who are working on extended jobs. Some of the rooms are recently remodeled, and it does provide a free laundry.Rooms: Recently remodeled and cleanNearby activities: Located only a few miles from Fort JacksonSafety: Not necessarily the safest neighborhood, but the hotel does have cameras. I don't walk off of the hotel property at night.Food & drinks: Across the street from a McDonald's

The Front Desk Staff were friendly. Room was clean and didn't have an "old" smell which was lovely. A couple minor faults was my room didn't have the laundry bags and extra trash bags. I stayed 2 days and 2 nights and didn't get fresh towels; not sure if Candlewood Suites only does fresh towels for long periods of stay or what. The fan in the bathroom didnt work so everytime someone took a shower, the entire room was steaming hot since windows can't be opened. Would I recommend stay? YES. The location is convenient, close to Walmart and restaurants. Rooms were clean :)

If you want to be thankful for running hot water stay here (week barley any hot water!) . Half of the time the water is literally so cold . So you’ll appreciate having hot water running back home . The bed feels like Patrick’s rock and not to mention how loud it is in the morning time ! I don’t know if the doors are made out of paper or what but you can hear everything in the halls .. if you’re here for business or work .. you won’t get good rest mornings are typically loud from everyone moving around and the maids vacuuming at early hours . Stay someplace else you’ll thank me later . I wouldn’t trust the elevators if you can’t even trust the water to run hot ..

While I have not personally stayed here, more than a dozen people that I manage have. On many occasions, I have had to personally set foot in this hotel because of errors and incompetency by the staff. They also had so major water line bust about a month ago, and for the longest time, drywall and swiping tiles were removed, bare frames and utilities were exposed. And the entire first floor was covered in giant fans that ran 24/7.This place is a circus.

Hotel is very pet friendly, they actually supply you pets if you didn't bring your own. They provide pet ROACHES!! Edit/ 4 hours after response on here from hotel management... The front desk was notified mid-morning, and stated that the maintenance person would come to the room to spray for the Roaches. By mid-afternoon none of the employees had yet come by. Stopped at front desk to remind them, and was told that the hotel uses Orkin and that there is no use in calling them as they will not come out and respray unless their technician personally sees the pests. Again, no hotel employees ever showed up with the can of Raid Roach spray as promised. The employees that were notified in the morning did not confer with the afternoon/ evening employees, forthermore not anyone confered with the next days morning crew. Was informed that the management will not look into using a different pest control company and apologies and condolences were expressed.

Brittany who is apparently the manager has a horrible attitude and felt the need to charge a 100 early check in fee not taking into account that I would be staying there for 20 days. Not to mention I was just there last week with a 21 day stay. She was rude and acted as is I was inconveniencing her. If you don’t like your job you should just quit not take it out on your patrons.

The worst experience ever. I booked the hotel through the IHG website and made a phone call to confirm about the situation of the room. I got there, it wasn't as I was told on the phone. The hotel manager was not willing to move me to another room. I paid $135,00 for the night for not staying at the hotel. We immediately got out to a different hotel. All power to Holliday in Express!

I’ve stayed in hundreds and hundreds of hotels, I’ve never been told that I couldn’t use a Online Bank Debit Card (Chime, Aspiration, Etc. ) The FD agent cautioned that it was because of “Portland theft” .. ummm, isn’t that what the security deposit is for? does Portland not have police? Insurance maybe? I just don’t see why the policy would be so stringent. I booked with my EMPLOYEE RATE. I work for IHG. This isn’t anywhere near a 5 star hotel. My rate was $49 fcs. Other than that, my in room heater set off my fire alarm. Bed was cozy. Room spacious. All in all Would not return as I don’t use Transitional Financial institutions and check in was a hassle.
