It is a nice place to pick up things without spending a lot of money, with a good variety of hobby and craft items and a plethora of hygiene and cleaning products. Many note it is a great store for home and school supplies, and their frozen foods offer a great variety, though the freezer section is often shopped empty. Since merging with Family Dollar, they also carry better quality decor, apparel, and toys. However, some feel the store has lost its appeal now that most items are no longer just one dollar. The store can be packed with stuff, but shelves are sometimes bare due to supply problems. They need to replenish and organize stock more often. While the long lines can be an issue, they have shown improvement by opening another register when needed.
