The best in Columbia

This location always provides superior service compared to anything else in the Columbia area. They are a fulfillment center, not a nuts bolts store. So that means they're not the kind of place that will be able to provide to the average Joe the day of for a 3$ purchase, but they can order almost anything and have it for you in a reasonable amount of time. They specialize in providing for big job contractors and massive facilities like Amazon. The front counter guy named Brice is always super helpful.

My husband and I purchased a pinball from a trusted acquaintance, I paid more than 2k for this, and an additional $175 for fastenal to ship it.. our pinball machine was shipped 9 days ago. it is showing as received at the Shop rd. location however, our pinball is nowhere to be found. At this point, all I get are shoulder shrugs and people blaming other people. Somewhere between Wabash IN Fastenal and Shop Rd Columbia, SC Fastenal, my item was stolen or lost. The game we purchased is rare and priceless. SOMEONE in your company is lying and I intend to help get to the bottom of it.

Went here last week, early April. Recently, This Fastenal location has gone wholesale only. However, after walking in, I see several signs that say they will still sell to an individual with a 25 dollar minimum. Perfectly understandable. However, the extremely rude woman behind the counter ( who made sure to tell me repeatedly that they are wholesale now) simply answered "25 dollars" when I asked for pricing on some items. I first asked for 10 grade 8 bolts. Was told they were 25 dollars. After I added some other items, my total was 27. Didn't add up. Come to find out, instead of offering for me to buy more to make my 25 minimum, she decided i would get overcharged for what I did get if I decided not to add anything else, without telling me. I needed over 300 dollars worth of materials, but once I caught on to her, I stopped at 27. I also inquired about a form so my company could set up an account. She told me I had to commit to 500 a month in purchases. No problem, my company spends that in one day at Grainger. I told her I'd have to ask my boss if he was ok with switching from Grainger, her response was to chuckle and say " probably not". This is the most unprofessional location I've ever visited, mostly due to her, and will not come back. This employee in particular is a prime example of how NOT to run a business. You never know who walks in, so treat every customer like a regular. This location would have netted around 2K a month minimum, but because of her I won't spend a dime of my company's money or mine here ever again, Neither will the other 17 reps in my area that would have considered switching as well. Guess we will keep going back to the ones who get it done.

Not the best prices around on nuts, bolts, and screws. I suggest you got other places for those.
