Went to the branch located on two notch and polo road to do a wire transfer. The manager is with another customer. I understand that but after he left (30 minutes later) the manager, Kevin, calls another customer instead of helping me. I wait another 15 minutes only for the teller to tell me it will be another 15-20 minutes. I left. I guess taking the 5 minutes to do my wire transfer wasn’t that important to him but making me wait another 30-40 minutes was. Thanks a lot. I have 3 business accounts and 3 personal accounts with first citizens. Maybe it’s time for a change.

Lovely, kind, prompt, and efficient tellers.Novice Customer Service staff not able, willing, or perhaps untrainable. Basic typing skills would be a great starting place.as would a teamwork mentality. Perhaps a modicum of respect for long-term customer time too!

I've been a business account holder for 18 years, and recently moved my personal account here as well. I've had nothing but positive experiences with this branch, and 1st Citizens in general. I could write a book of the horror stories I have from dealing with another big, national bank (BofA). The manager, Kevin Fernald is a saint.

This is not your typical local friendly neighborhood bank. I stopped going to my local branch on Polo Rd because the tellers were rude and unprofessional. I do everything online now. The app is nice and customer service has been helpful the last couple times I called but I won’t be going to my local branch anytime soon. To be fair, the Sand Hill branch manager that helped me with a wire transfer was very good but that is not close to me.

The professionalism at the two notch location is extremely horrible. The teller asked me if the other locations staff knew me and that may be why they did it for me at another location. So what you are telling me is that policies change if you personally know me?I am a brand new account and my home location just wants to help people, unlike this location. Not only did they not want to help me in any way but at the end of everything, the teller helping me said, "I should use another location next time."

Just moved to South Carolina. We tried to cash a First Citizens check at this location. We ran into an issue when they tried to verify the check and the young woman behind the counter could not get a hold of the company that wrote the check. We also queStioned the reason doe the 8$ fee if the check was issued by their bank. We called the company that wrote the check and got a hold of them and told them to be on stand by for the call. The manager came out (at our request) and said the company that wrote the check had to call the bank instead of the bank calling them again because according to one of the tellers "you could be giving us anyone's number". A lot of misinformation and inability to handle a customer issue on the spot. Both management and teller were extremely rude and unhelpful. She insisted all issuing banks charge fees to cash their checks when that is not true! She walked away while my partner was talking to her. Extremely poor customer service. The teller literally walked away while we were talking!!! Come on teller get it together. We were not being disrespectful just questioning the policy which comes with the territory of providing a service to the community. These things will happen and you literally get paid to deal with customer concerns. It really isn't about the policies it is about delivery. She is definitely not customer service oriented and her manager does not know how to lead by example at all. Told us to have the company that wrote the check call the bank and ask for "Lisa" and walked away. One woman who I believe was the other teller was nice helpful and cared enough to talk to us after and try make us their customer. However, she did mention that the bank is "very conservative" I'm not sure what that has to do with anything but ok. At that point unfortunately we were already upset and declined. The manager and other teller should not work in the customer service industry at all. Not a good representation of SC tho! People here have been so nice and polite. This is only our 3rd day here. Maybe this bank needs to hire an objective consultant that can assess their employees and their customer service strategies. In the meantime, we won't be banking at First Citizens Bank.

This is one of the best, most customer focused banking locations in Columbia, SC. Two words: Polite and Professional describe the management and customer service professionals at this location. The management is visible and involved in the community. It is worth it to me to do all my banking at Polo Road First Citizens!

They are truly as bad of a bank as you will ever find. Only ONE teller worth having a job . Truly the reason why my business is seeking a different bank. Atrocious banking at its finest
