This "assisted" self checkout is non sense. It's either a self checkout or not! If it's not then hire more employees to "assist" us. Stop gaslighting your customers. We're not stupid. And who told your staff to fill out my customer survey at the end? That's illegal last time I checked

Leaving this review for 4/21/2024 our visit at Five Below at 11:45am. I have a huge problem with being watched for the items that my daughter and I were paying for today. My issue is yall take the the registers away to ring up our items for us but watch us like a hawk. We do not stay in Columbia, SC so on occasions we will go to Five Below to look around/browse. I'm getting to the point we are not going back. I haven't stole not one thing a day in my life at almost 38 years of living, nor have my daughter in her 13 years of living and this is how we are treated every time we go in. We don't even go in with a pocketbook/storebag. Only my wallet, phone and keys and my daugter comes in with just her clothes on. We were taught better than to steal. If we don't have the money then we don't worry about having the item and we wait until we do. The white girl up there should not have been on our backs watching us like she was. It's a known fact most workers steal more than customers. I thinking this will be my last time going. I rather pay more somewhere else than to go back in that store.

I don't understand the purpose of self checkout if cashiers are pushy and demand that you allow them to scan your items. It doesn't help the line move faster. Get rid of self checkout and just open a register if theft is a concern. Pure Nonsense!

For some reason, they rearranged the whole store. It's not as appealing as it used to be. Felt very disorganized and cluttered.
