After three trips that I tried to see the manager, Mr. Jackson, and my timing was off, I decided to post this review because I believe it needs attention. Last week, while waiting in line, one of the cashiers, Eric, was being cussed out by a descrumpled customer. The customer made sure they were heard by all, and there were many of us in line waiting patiently. Keep in mind,I had no idea what transpired between the two; but apparently, the customer was going through a rough time and decided to take their problems out on an employee. As I watched and waited in the long line, the employee continued to act courteously and professionally without missing a beat. Once I finally made it to the register, I spoke up and told him how well he maintained his composure. I'm giving Eric 5 stars for his professionalism, and hopefully, the manager or the corporate office will see this post. Rest assured, I will continue to ask for Mr. Jackson, the manager to let him know about this exceptional young man.

Normally I have little contact with the employees other than hello, thank you and goodbye. Today unfortunately I had to speak to customer service due to having two primo water refills out of the five empty jugs brought in left on file (file being a one subject spiral notebook) and was verbally abused and humiliated by customer service staff by the name of Janice who bold faced lied and said first that they did not keep a log, then after another staff who was very kind and looked embarrassed by her coworkers display asked who did I speak to when I brought the five water empty jugs in, and pointed at Janice and said “her”. Lie number two came out and she said I never spoke to her and that they had not run out of water in “months”. The kinder lady brought out the file, the spiral notebook and flipped through pages and found my name and I was correct and was owed two refills. Janice then recalled the time I came in lmao. I just shook my head because I was so confused on why would I lie about a six dollar water jug. More words were spoken back and forth between Janice and I because you would think after I was found to be correct she would apologize for her disrespect but she did not. I was told by the kinder lady to go ahead and take the water to have me leave to calm the beast in Janice down but I had to remind her that I had to pay for them lol horrible behavior on Janice and she needs additional training on dealing with customers.

I went in to get dog food and cigarettes. The register where the tobacco products are was closed and the customer service desk is in the same spot so i figured i would just check out there. The young lady behind the counter had a nasty attitude and told me i could take my dog food and go to a register because they don't ring up groceries there. I left the dog food and walked out. 11/2/23 12 o'clock

I like this store. It’s welcoming and does not treat you like a criminal the way Walmart does. Here food lion store employees don’t follow you around because you’re not white and they don’t harass you demand you to show your receipt. So yeah food lion is a great store to shop

The only positive thing I can say about this store is the meat manager. He goes beyond for his customers. Very friendly and helpful. A lot of rude staff. I travel to another food lion due to the customer service.

I've been shopping here 5 years, everyone in the store knows me yet I still get I.d...pointless and frustrating.... the the manager I complained to had rung me up several times before yet acted like he didn't know who I was when I complained about it...I don't shop here anymore!

I love this store and have shopped here frequently for years. I'm 63 y/o and Sunday afternoon my phone was stolen and my car is in shop. So, I called a cab to this FL and purchased $175 worth of groceries.After shopping, I approached the "customer service" counter with my loaded cart of purchased items and explained my situation to the person working (Tuesday, July 11, 10:00 am, Caucasian, short blonde hair, gold wireframe glasses, 40-55) behind the counter, who was using her personal cell phone when I walked up, and asked if she could call me a cab.Her response was, "We're not allowed to use the phone" and she continued counting lottery tickets. I then asked, "Can you call a manager up front" as I figured the manager would give her permission to use the phone to call a cab for me. She continued to count tickets without acknowledging my request.I then walked over to the busy aisle clerk who had rung up my groceries and asked if she could call the manager so the "customer service" person could get permission to let me use the phone. She did and the manager came up front and placed the phone so I could use it and returned to the back.I then tried to dial out but didn't know how to get an outside line. I tried 9, the "customer service" person had no idea and never offered to find out. So, I went back to the isle clerk and asked if she could get the manager up front again so I can call a cab.Then another aisle clerk beside the "customer service" counter, noticed what was happening, got out her personal cell phone and dialed a cab for me. About that time the manager arrived and the "customer service" person began pretending to be helpful to me as soon as the manager was present.I was a customer service manager for decades. Not once did she offer any assistance beyond stating, "the entire time I've been here, we're not allowed to use the phone." This person does not belong behind the customer service counter. The lady beside the counter working the aisle would be a much better choice in my opinion.

Manager or whoever he is with the locs and whatever is very rude and the cashiers are rude. The store has gone downhill so much. Nothing on the shelves. And don’t get me started on the meat selection
