Heathwood Park is a sweet, wooded, and shady neighborhood park. It is family and dog friendly, a natural paradise for residents and visitors. The park offers a splash fountain, playground with baby swings and a jungle gym, a slide, a picnic shed, and basketball and tennis courts. It provides an After School Program and Summer Camp. The park is known as a friendly place for group walks and activities. Some note the benches could use updating and that bathroom access can be limited.
The park itself is nice and the facility is small but just right for a small gathering. This was my second time attending an event there and it was the same both times. The staff on both occasions were very helpful.

Sweet neighborhood park. Wooded and shady, family and dog friendly. This natural park is what makes it a paradise for nearby residents and visitors. The splash fountain has entertained for decades. Don't change a thing!
