The absolute worst experience ever in rental car history they need to be shut down, I wished I had read the reviews and kept it pushing will not treat you like a customer at all I will never do business with this company again my first and last time!

When I walk in Hertz there was an employee sitting in the chair just relaxing and another employee behind the counter. They employee behind the counter was very unprofessional in how he handled the conversation with me. I went to pick up the vehicle or similar to it which was a small SUV. They did not have any vehicle available so he wanted to put me in a Jeep Wrangler with Mud Tires on them. I told him that was not acceptable. I had to pay additional $100.00 to get the next available vehicle they had which was a Ford Explorer. The vehicle was very dirty outside but clean on the inside. I was told to make sure that had the vehicle vacuum and free of trash before turning in or I will be charge an additional fee. I understand about the trash but I have been with Hertz for 9 years and not one time had I ever had to make sure that the vehicle was vacuum. My turn in time was on 2/3/24 by 3:30 PM. I turned the vehicle in around 11:00 AM on 2/3/2024 washed, vacuum and a full tank. He took my keys and said he would email me a receipt. As of 9:30 PM 2/3/2024 I have not seen a receipt nor can I find the rental on my app. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

These people are so rude!!! Very unhelpful. I asked for confirmation I would not get charged for rental services they could not provide and although I remained calm, the sulky customer service agent (Jonathan) refused to answer and claimed I was talking too him like a child so he preceded to call the police on me and claim I was “irate”. He also asked me to leave for no reason! No wonder business is declining for them.

This was by far the worse experience. We had to get a rental because we had an accident soit was definitely bad enough. We had the rental for the number of days needed and went to return it. The day we took it back the guy at the desk was so nasty and had a horrible attitude. He didn’t greet Us walking in and even after we spoke. We then began to tell him we are returning the car. We handed him the key. Be immediately asked where is the tag. I advised it fell off in my car. He then hit his hand on the desk as he was getting up and breathed heavy. He went out checked my car and came back in and said you need to vacuum the car out or he would charge Us $350 if not. After looking puzzled I decided let me go vacuum the car out. But the guy had the vacuum out at the store so it was going to get done either way. Nonetheless we went and vacuumed it out. When we got back the man never acknowledged Us in a conversation. We went to the counter he then put a paper on the counter and said nothing more. We stood there for about 2-3 minutes and then we asked was there anything else he said oh no you can go. That was the rudest thing I have encountered in a business. I will not be renting from this location again.

We booked a rental car month before and checked twice before pick up date, and at the last moment when we went iver there to pickup the car they told us we dint have any , never book with Hertz thats my advice

Johnathan Is practically running people away from the establishment. Although enterprise was my first option I had no other option but to go with hertz. He was extremely combative, and rude. He actually hung up in my face. I’m so glade enterprise was able to assist me

Runnnn away and don't think twice!... This location has the worst service in the industry! I have never encountered such despair! It's so unfortunate because people have become so comfortable being mean.

I want to give this place 5 stars but I was a little taken back by their cleaning policy. They wanted you to vacuum it clean before return. I think this used to be an industry standard but seems antiquated and abnormal now. Overall a good experience.

I recently had an unfortunate encounter with Johnathan at Hertz, which left me quite disappointed with the level of service I received. I had scheduled a rental with Hertz and was looking forward to a smooth and hassle-free experience. However, just two hours before my scheduled pickup time, I received a call from Johnathan informing me that my request could not be accommodated.First and foremost, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed during our conversation. Johnathan failed to offer any viable alternatives or suggestions to help me navigate the situation. Instead, he simply wished me "best of luck" and left me to figure out a solution on my own. As a customer, I expected a higher level of service and assistance in such circumstances.Communication is crucial in situations like these, and unfortunately, Johnathan fell short in this regard. It would have been more helpful if he had provided me with information regarding the reason for the inconvenience and explored alternative options within the company or even directed me to nearby rental agencies.While I understand that unexpected issues can arise, leaving customers feeling stranded without any guidance or support is far from satisfactory. As a representative of Hertz, I expected Johnathan to handle the situation more professionally and take proactive steps to assist me in finding a suitable solution.Overall, my experience with Johnathan at Hertz was disappointing. The lack of professionalism and the absence of alternative solutions left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced. I hope that Hertz takes steps to improve its customer service and ensure that such instances are handled more effectively in the future.Please note that this review is based on my personal experience and may not reflect the overall quality of service provided by Hertz or the performance of other employees at the company.

HORRIBLE. Worst experience ever. I rented a vehicle from them after i was hit on the freeway. (Insurance company set up the rental) The first vehicle they gave me was a dodge charger. The plates and registration that were in vehicle belonged to a JEEP!!! I called the office next morning. the manager told me to stop up there. I did, he couldn't even get in his computer. You could tell he was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. He had me come back later. Drove back there that af. He gave me a different charger. Today, i had to go back there to sign new contract because i have my own coverage and didn't need theres. He took the keys and wouldn't give me a car. The vehicle is paid u til end of the week. He locked the car I brought there with all my personal belongings in and locked the door to go inside hertz. I had to call an uber to get home.

First off Darnell and Thomas are very rude and are not the brightest. Thomas the manager smelt like a bar, you could tell he was intoxicated, highly confrontational, wouldn't let me speak or ask questions, threatening to charge me more for trying to clarify the situation, charged me more than what was already agreed on an changed a signed contract without the signee's permission. This is really the worst rental place, with even worse employees. This is a fraud business.

I would NOT go to this hertz. Beyond horrible service. Tried to charge me for grass being on the drivers side foot mat. And then 2.5 months after rental was returned noticed a charge on my credit card that corporate couldn't explain and this store stated came from accounting but could not give you a number for accounting. I rented due to a car accident and everything was paid up front. I gave no additional authorization to charge my card no did I ever receive another bill. This place is totally sketchy. Had to contact my cc and dispute charge and put in for fraud on Hertz's part. Corporate was no help.

I have been here twice while visiting Columbia. The first time they didn't have the car I reserved so "upgraded' me but charged me the difference. This last time I reserved one using a AAA discount. When I arrived the man at the front tried to charge me twice as much as what I reserved it for. I showed him my online receipt and he still insisted I payed less than that days I reserved for so I again pointed to the receipt which had the correct amount of day. He then said it was tax. So he tried to convince me tax was $200+. I asked him to take off road side assistance since I had AAA and the insurance since I had my own. That dropped it about 240$ for 4 days. Save yourself some money and time and go to enterprise. There no haggling and they have the car you reserve.

All i can say is run! One of the worst experiences I've ever had in dealings with a car rental company. The employees weren't polite or courteous, while giving very little to no details on how to proceed with their rentals. Would not recommend...unless a new staff is presented!
