It's a town that's wanting. If you are into R/C cars, then you're in business. Otherwise, it's a store that's lacking. Take a trip to Augusta, and go to the HobbyTown there.

New management has brought this place back to life! Gone are the days of traveling to Augusta to buy an rc car whoop whoop!

Looks like a nice place. They're closed on Easter Sunday, but the listed phone number doesn't work for me to call ahead. A wasted hour and a half round trip.

This place is under new management and it’s the place to go for anything RC. The shelves are full and restocked every week. Traxxas is back, along with all of the other quality brands. If it rolls, flies, floats or crawls, they’ve got something for you. The new managers named Matt, and he brings a lifetime worth of RC experience and knowledge, along with a real desire to make this shop successful. He’s also the tech, and does repairs on site. Lots of parts and accessories in stock. They do have the other usual items that you would expect to find in a hobby shop, but it’s the RC stuff that keeps me coming back. Stop by and give them some business. The selection is great and the prices are very competitive when compared to online. It’s nice to have a good, local hobby shop again. Support it when you’re in the market for something.

Was in Columbia over the last few days visiting family and decided to swing by for some paint and check out their selection of kits. Was VERY disappointed in what I saw.First, the place smelled like a high school gym locker room. Second, they had a decent collection of Gundam kits and some off the wall Lego kits (which is cool), but very few kits of other subjects. (Auto, Aircraft, Space, Armor, Ships) Third, it seemed like it was catering primarily to RC cars. Nothing wrong with that, but if that's all you're going to carry then you should probably ditch the HobbyTown name.I've been to HobbyTown's across the country and have never seen one like this. It was like they really didn't even try.On the plus side, I found some of the Tamiya spray paint I was looking for and they had a good selection of Vallejo.Other than that? I wouldn't waste my time.Just go online.

My brother was visiting and wanted to check out your paint selection and was very pleased to find some that he needed and he was also happy with the prices. We also had a nice conversation with both men working there that day.

Was a bit disappointed by the store to be honest. Stopped by to check out models and the store itself had little stock at all. The place is small and seems to be geared towards RC model supplies. Won't be stopping here again.

Had a problem with my Arrma Senton, came in for some advice and possibly a repair. Super helpful guy behind the counter diagnosed the issue and offered some solutions. Would go back!
