Super clean facility. The staff is extremely nice as expected for a YMCA. The gym is state of the art the coolest treadmills I’ve ever used. I love coming to this gym when I visit family would recommend to everyone no matter if you’re young or old the YMCA in this town has got it all.

Amy Dodson is rude and unprofessional! I called in July to cancel my membership. My membership was never canceled as my card was charged for August. I called again in August to see why my membership was not canceled and to get a possible refund. I was told by a young gentleman that this has been an issue with the Y on their end and he would take care of my cancellation and assured me that I should see a refund soon. I never received the refund so I called to see when I would receive my refund. I was told that I am not allowed to cancel my membership by phone that I would have to come in to do it. Which does not make sense because after my 2nd attempt at calling to cancel over the phone my cancellation was successful and I did not have to step foot on the property. Also this was the first time this was communicated to me after calling twice to cancel over the phone. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor. I spoke with Amy, I explained to her what happened and that I was told I was getting a refund by one of her employees. She was very short with me. Told me I would not be getting a refund because the Y was not at fault. Which the Y was at fault for not communicating properly to members or having all team members on the same page. There is no accountability or empathy here. Because I was told I was getting a refund and now I am not. I told her that I would follow up with my bank and in a condescending and unprofessional tone she told me to do whatever makes you feel good. Huh???? I expected more from a YMCA employee. I cancelled my membership as my kids are back in school and I just had a baby. I planned on rejoining 3 months post partum but because of the lack of accountability, unprofessionalism, and not honoring what I was initially told. I will take my money elsewhere.

Not professional at all. Booked and paid for swimming classes show up on time and everything and my kids name are no where to be found at the list. Basically I just lost the 4 swimming classes because the coordinator quite her job and no one is able to help me. So great experience for being the first at the YMCA

Wasted 40 minutes of my time and gas going there to be told that because I don’t have a membership and paid $80 that I can’t drop my teenagers off to swim by themselves. I’m currently nine months pregnant and don’t want to sit there for four hours while they swim. I have two very upset kids now that I have to go back and sit in the house and do nothing even though I called last week and they told me everything was fine but if I had a membership I could drop them off alone and I think that’s absolutely ridiculous. Very upset and disappointed.!!! I didn’t make a difference if I paid $80 or seven dollars to get in for the day it shouldn’t matter how much I pay to be able to drop my teenagers off alone or not. So be prepared if you want to drop your Child off I need to pay $80.!!!! Ridiculous!!!!

Very nice Olympic-size swimming pool there. Front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Too bad it's a bit far from us.

On 08 June there was an incident where multiple children hit my 7 year old (autistic) grandson in the head, knocking him to the floor and then kicking him and laughing at him. The only thing the person who was responsible for the children said was stop. The director, Ms. Johnson, gave a weak response telling my son she'd do an investigation and saying something about she has 140 children like that is a reason for the lack of supervision and bullying. She seems to be protecting the incompetent employee that was supposed to intervene in the matter and take disciplinary action. If you want your child to be bullied or learn bullying skills this is the place to send. If you want a caring and nurturing environment, I highly suggest you look elsewhere.

Would never give a penny to this place. I've been letting friends and family know for years to never waste your money here. Go somewhere else!

My son went on a swim safety field trip with his school from Rice Creek Elementary all this week. My son is in Mrs Bauer, 2nd grade class and Mckenzie was their swim instructor and she was wonderful with them. My son loves water but a bit fearful of swimming on his own. I wanted to get him swim lessons a while back but he was scared until he met Mckenzie and now he is ready for lessons. All of the Instructors were great with the kids. This was a great experience for them. Thank you YMCA. Definitely Will be enrolling my son into your swim program.

MANAGEMENT SUPPORTS RACISM & DISCRIMINATIONUnfortunately, this location perpetuates racist tactics and condones harassment.I am a Black instructor, and used to teach yoga here. There was another White instructor that harassed me about taking my teaching slot to teach her Barre & HIIT classes, amongst other classes.I told the supervisor what she'd done, and she asked me to appease the harassing HIIT & barre teacher. It was very despicable. And I will never continue to work with or support an organization that condones, perpetuates, and tries to 'sweep under the rug', despicable acts like harassment and racism.
