Convenient and I love the drive thru option! Staff are nice but seem stressed and understaffed much of the time.Pharmacists have called to follow up and seem knowledgeable and caring.

Only One checkout and the line for self checkout is 12 people deep. Not the place to go if you are trying to get in and out.

Just went shopping on a Sunday morning. Needed a few things for myself. And filled my cart for a food bank donation. There was one checkout line open. 15 deep. Self check out even worse. Left my car at customer service. Going elsewhere. Will not be back. Not the first time here but my last.

No, I would not recommend shopping at Kroger, and I have been a loyal customer for 20+ years, not today I wouldn't, not at the Kroger Marketplace (1028 Roberts Branch Pkwy, Columbia, SC). No registers open, no food on the shelves, customer service closed, and no manager available! Guess what, self-checkout was open, but some and not working, some only take cash and some only take cards, and don't you dare ask for cash back. AND all the shopping-carts are in the parking lot! On top of that the door to get out of the store is stuck! All I came in here for was a lemon and a head of lettuce. No lettuce except some over priced “Living lettuce “. What’s “Living lettuce“? Lettuce that still has roots attached! Hydroponic lettuce - Is that even real? To add insult to injury, I stood on line, in the store, for 5 minutes only to have the cashier tell the couple in front of me that the register was closed to them and me. I go to get gas and the cashier (at Kroger) is behind the window with her face all screwed up like I said or did something to her. I never opened my mouth, I promise. What is wrong with these young people? What ever happened to pleasant customer service? At least the poor woman (who finally opened the customer service desk) was trying to be pleasant with my irate self. Nope, I need to stay out of Kroger for awhile. Maybe it will get its act together. I once loved shopping there.

This Kroger used to be great, but it's gone down hill. This is the second time in the last month that I've come here to return something & their customer service desk is closed???!! For the whole day! Today, the lines were The worst I've ever seen. There was only one register open and then both sides of self check out. The lines for each register were 30 people deep. I'm not exaggerating. It's 4 pm on a Wednesday; not even the busiest time you would expect for a grocery store. I saw plenty of employees walking around the store; for some reason nobody thought it was important for them to come up to the registers. Get it together Kroger!

We love this pharmacy and the team they have to assist us! They went out of their way to help us transfer scripts from out of state. My husband happened to get a Covid Vaccine because someone else had not shown and they dosage would have to be tossed. They now know my husband by name and are always willing to take the time to address issues!

Really beginning to piss me off - needed to get wic none of registers open only self check out which you can’t get wic on - so I’m told registers don’t open until about 7:10/7:15 so I ended up having to pay for the milk because I really needed it, my daughter was out - I come back another day it’s like 7:50 am and still no at registers only self check out - I go to customer service and to try and get my items rung up I’m told they don’t open until 8am - then I go back to customers service and I’m told they cage ring in wic at customer service -work on your customer service please - other than this bad experience I loved this store as far as prices and quality/variety

1028 Roberts Branch Parkway Columbia SC 29203 Posting on behalf of my mother Brenda Kelso On January 27th, I went to Kroger and purchased Oysters from their seafood department as I've done many times before. When I began to prepare them, I noticed that something was "moving". After my husband and I took a closer look, we realized that it was a parasite. I called Kroger and spoke with the manager who was very nice. He asked that we bring the oysters back and he would issue a refund. Cool! Not a problem . We removed the Oysters from the pan to return to the store but then we noticed that there were MULTIPLE parasites as you can see in the brief video below. When we arrived at the store , we explained that there were multiple parasites and we even took a cup of the parasites as a nice little souvenir . We received a refund and left the cup of parasites behind. We were told that a claim would be filed and someone would be contacting us the following week. A very nice lady called to gather some information and stated she would file the claim. Well she contacted me today to let me know that the claim was denied because Kroger says that they did "nothing wrong". I guess I was wrong for not asking them to " hold the parasites" when I purchased the oysters. Just be careful. Look at your food closely when purchasing from their seafood department. Maybe even ask them to "hold the parasites" so if you accidentally eat one , YOU won't be the one at fault.

Place is packed. It's Sunday. So a big grocery day. And they have THREE checkout lanes open. THREE. And they're out of everything. Second time in a month it's been this way. Here I come, Publix and Whole Foods.
