We hired Dennis Home Improvement to remodel our deck. They did a fantastic job from initial discussions and design all the way through the construction process. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb and the end result is way more stunning than we anticipated. They removed all existing spindle-type railings and replaced them with new hogwire design railings. Also, new support posts were added underneath (it's a 2 story deck) and an A-frame style metal roof was added to match the windows of our house. All of this was done in just under 3 weeks and we were impressed with the work ethic and friendliness of all the various crews. Easy to contact with any questions or concerns and always responsive. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone considering roofing and/or deck-related work.

UPDATE: I recently re-contracted with Dennis Home Improvement, this time to cover my back porch deck. All I can say is outstanding work and continued excellent customer service. First, easy and open communication about the different options, pricing, and materials which made it easy for me to decide what style and price-point was best. Second, an absolute commitment to ensuring that the plans and proper permits were pulled with the local authorities. Third, when the construction start date was set, Dennis Home Improvement showed up as promised and started each day on time and completed each day before dark which I appreciated as a courtesy to my neighbors. Fourth, there was clear communication with Greg Dennis in terms of expectations for the project, and immediate attention to ameliorate any issues and a willingness to assist with reasonable special requests. Finally, the end product is a beautiful screened in covered back porch. I previously posted on Dennis Improvement regarding a window project, and I've left the review below in case that may also be helpful. Overall, I continue to highly recommend Dennis Home Improvement.
Excellent customer service starting with Mr. Dennis, Sr. who promptly returned my calls and came by to view my windows and provided a temporary fix for my problem. We also discussed my need to update my windows, and he provided me with a reasonable estimate. Mr. Dennis Sr. then followed up a few days later with a model demonstration of the windows I requested, and his son Greg and another member of the team came by a few days later to measure my windows, confirm the final details for my new windows, and their office took care of pulling the necessary permits. The members of the Dennis Home Improvement business were upfront about the timeline and possible delays but promised to proceed as soon as possible. To my surprise, they were able to schedule the installment of the new windows much earlier than anticipated. Omar, Randy, and Marty did an excellent job installing the new windows and cleaning up and hauling away the rubbish from the work site. Replacing windows is not a cheap project. However, I would highly recommend Dennis Home Improvement for such a project as they kept their word, did an excellent job, and made the process as quick and convenient as possible. Thank you.

Dennis Home Improvement did a great job upgrading our 7-year-old multi-level deck. They replaced the pressure-treated decking with Trex and other parts with either Trex or Lumber Rock which is another type of composite wood.
What would have been a rather straightforward project was complicated by periods of bad weather and supply chain problems with the building material distributor. Greg Dennis, who owns the company, kept us updated with any changes in the schedule, and we’re very pleased with the results. Excellent craftsmanship blending the new parts with the old.

I can’t say enough good things about Greg, his crew and office staff. From the very first meeting, they made me feel confident that my home was in good hands. The crew showed up on time every day, worked hard, and treated my property with respect.
Although the project was unique and challenging, the results look amazing. You can tell they take pride in their work. Every detail was done right. Beyond the quality, what stood out the most was how easy it was working with everyone at DHI. We felt like we had a true partner in this process, and they had our best interest at heart. They explained things clearly, answered all my questions, and never made me feel rushed.
It’s rare to find contractors who combine skill, professionalism, and thoughtfulness, but this team did exactly that. My house feels brand new thanks to them, and I’d recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I had repairs and painting done on the outside of my 48 year old home with siding. I made an appointment with Greg and he was prompt, inspected my home and sent an estimate on the next day. He estimated 6-8 weeks but was available earlier. The team came at the time he said they would, were very respectful, made adjustments when I requested them, and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

DHI delivered exceptional craftsmanship and professionalism during our recent major renovation of a glass roof sunroom. We are thrilled with the outcome.
From start to finish, the DHI team was incredibly organized, respectful of our home, and dedicated to high-quality work. They meticulously protected our space during demolition, using plastic barriers and floor coverings to control dust, especially near the kitchen.
The structural upgrades were remarkable, including a new roof and overhang, added insulation, sheetrock, and paint. They installed a beautiful new roof with architectural shingles that perfectly match our home. The attention to detail from the framers, electricians, roofers, and painters was impeccable.
Every step of the project was handled professionally, and the team left the area spotless. The quality of materials and workmanship surpassed our expectations, truly transforming our home.
We highly recommend DHI for anyone seeking reliable, skilled, and courteous contractors.

We had a great experience working with Greg Dennis and his various teams (builders, electricians, roofers, painters and screen installers). They demolished and rebuilt our screened in porch and back deck. We also had them re-roof our entire house. The team(s) showed up early, worked hard, and had craftsmanship skills. They were always very considerate of our personal property and cleaned up well after each day. The work was completed within the estimated timeframe.
Greg was easy to communicate with and great about checking in on the progress of the project.
Definitely would recommend Dennis Home Improvement, LLC for a new build or “reimagining” an existing outdoor space. We had a great experience; the craftsmanship was excellent, work done within the quoted timeframe (we were blessed with good weather), and very considerate of our property during the process. 10 out of 10!

Dennis Home Improvement did an excellent job on my roof replacement. Adam, the roofing supervisor, was great to work with and he oversaw the job from start to finish (in one day). Nice guys on the crew and they did a meticulous job of cleaning up afterward. This is a local, family-owned company that truly cares about its reputation and does everything it can to please its customers. I highly recommend them for your roofing or general contracting needs.

How i didn't rate this guy is beyond me. Greg built my porch a year ago. Want to talk about an amazing job? He's OCD and very particular. Just get used to him showing up at your house at 6am to use the blower and clean up. Dude is simply amazing. I got my neighbor to hire him too after their deck was destroyed. Will hire again!!

It won't let me do 0 star. A week ago a guy name Coleman from Dennis Home Improvement came out to look at repairing my subfloor. When he left, he told me that I will get an estimate from someone name Tonya. It been a week and no one from this company has contact me with the estimate. Coleman also told me that it was going to be very pricey. I guess they think that I don't have the money to pay for the pricey job or maybe I am just not the right color to do business with. I guess this company don't know NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!!!!!!!!

I am way overdue on this review but we cannot say enough good things about Dennis Home Improvement. They completed a roof replacement for us a while back and we were extremely pleased. The quote was spot on, the work top notch and the cleanup outstanding. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof of other remodeling, you will not be dissapointed.

Brad Dennis and his staff did a wonderful job for me. Removed glass skylights from the ceiling of my Florida room and built new wooden domed ceiling and stained it to match the rest of the room. They were on time, worked hard and cleaned up behind themselves each day. And they didn't let my kitties escape! Highly recommend this group of professionals!!
