This has been the worst banking experience ever. If you deposit a paper check, even if it comes from the US Government, i.e. tax refund, disability etc., this bank holds your funds up to 7 days. Then if you become overdrawn on your checking account because you have the money but the bank refuses to credit it to your account, you are charged overdraft fees that they refuse to return to you. No good rationale for holding onto your money for 7 days, no other banks or credit unions do this! Switched from USAA to NFCU for the convenience but it was the worst banking move I've ever done!

I came in here to finish the process for my auto loan and have been waiting over a hour! They only have 2 bankers working which is crazy to me, and only one teller they need to hire or do some service training because this is truly ridiculous!

ALWAYSSSSSSSD HAS SYSTEM ISSUES. Anytime anything says just puck something up at the branch, it's NEVER that simple. Not sure if the other Columbia branch is better operating. Will try that next time.

Just had a great experience yesterday, but as far as today, went to get my Auto Loan check which was 100% complete and just needed to be printed, went in to ask for it not sure if the lady wasn’t sure or what, but ultimately got pushed away told “Nothing their team could do” not only called the NFCU member number to confirm it was a lie ( which it was) but drove 20 minutes to Navy Federal on Forum Dr, in and out in 5 minutes no problem. Not saying the team branch is bad but some individuals need to be corrected.

Horrible service is an understatement. Registered online to speak to someone on a Saturday for a Wednesday appointment the following week about their mortgage loans and just wanted to crunch numbers with someone in the building as I'm trying to shop around as a first time homebuyer. My wife is a member at this branch and they have a good interest rate in comparison to other banks.On arrival, we are told our service person at the bank just went on Lunch break. I asked the front desk person how long the lunch breaks are, she asks the lady who was supposed to help us and once the front desk girl comes back from the lunch room she walks back to her post and never addresses me about how long we will have to wait. I inquire again about how long we will have to wait and I'm then told their lunch breaks are 45 minutes. I looked at my wife, which this is our only day off in the work week where we both could go to the bank and we decided to leave.I walk out the door, but I felt the need to speak to the manager to let them know how poor the service was, the lack of professionalism by the person who was to service us and the lack of principle of this branch in an effort to inform them of the shortcomings to improve the experience for someone else. I ask the front desk person for the manager, she goes and speaks to the manager to tell them we want to speak and the front desk girl comes back to say the manager will be back to speak with us. After waiting to the side for the manager for ten minutes to speak to us about our poor experience, I left again.I wouldn't go to this branch again if they paid me to walk through the front door. This branch lacks professionalism and any sort of principle to date and time. The front desk girl told me they're falling behind on schedule because they're short staffed but saw at least five workers helping clients. This was a poor excuse and a cover for terrible management. If you want to learn what not to do for clients go to this bank and take notes. Solid F.

Always there to help and they are very proficient at what they do. I just wish the hold time to speak with a live agent wasn't 30+ minutes whenever I call

Why yall attitudes so bad? You do know the only reason you all are in business is because WE BRING YOU OUR MONEY. If we don't bring our money YOU DON'T WORK change your attitude or get out of customer service. The only person that was friendly was the guy at the front door.I hate bad customer service.. yall act like we bothering you trying to come in there and handle business with OUR MONEY! CUT IT OUT!! Brianna just need to go home for a while and try again... or go work in the back doing something else

I went to the forest drive branch to inquire about the auto financing because I had a few questions. The guy who assisted me must have been having a bad day or he just doesn't have good customer service. He was not welcoming at all didn't ask what I wanted just answered my questions with one or two word answers instead of explaining and seemed to be annoyed that I was even inquiring about the auto financing. If he was having a bad day at least fake it till the end of his world day, but dang the look on his face and the feeling of unwillingness to help was just over the top rude.I really wish they would open up more than two locations in columbia the other branch is just always super busy and the wait time is horrible, but their customer service is 100%better.

Glad I did not listen to the reviews this time. Went during the week, mid-day, there was a line but it moved quickly. Daniel assisted me and explained the products and services. I am very pleased.

I guess Brianna was having a bad day because her customer service was wack. Maybe it was because she was late from lunch or something. Not friendly or inviting. Did her job but seemed begrudgingly.Hopefully the rest of the week goes well for her.

This bank is the best navy federal I've ever been ta,not only did they completely understand our situation,these people went outta there way to help me and my wife,make sure we could pay these three large bills,so we didn't go under,they found money in places we didn't know they could do,,they went way outta there way for us,,it was one of our happiest days in a long long time,since life has been rough for us for last couple years,see we just found a condo to rent,sent the rent money and deposit in, which wiped our account clean out,and somehow forgot bout the Jeep payment.called the bank as soon as we remembered, and these lady's,did a 100 percent job and saved our souls,yeah I forgot there names,but I will always remember your helpful spirit,that brought back faith to us in people,something I know I lost last couple years,it surely gave us hope again.elizabeth,joe

Filed a dispute due to a pick up I had with a company. I paid with my chime card and they charged my husband when he came to do the pick up to his navy card. Closed my dispute in less than 12 hours due to the dispute representative not understanding the notes put on the dispute. Was told it was their fault the representative should have asked for clarification if she was confused. Called the next day and was told to send a message via my app With proof of purchase which I did no response for 5 days. I called back and again was told to send in the same information which I did again. I sent a message word for word what the dispute representative told me to send. After being told my dispute was going to be reopened and nothing would be taken out of my account a adjustment for over 1,000 was made on my account. Call back today and am now being told it is not their problem I have to send the info again. I used to think navy was such a great bank they are no different from everyone else. Closed my dispute in error and after playing the transfer game with me and me actually requesting real answers and not just a send the message they want to try and make it as if it’s my fault. Train your workers better and take accountability if no one was going to help me why make me send bank statements and screenshots of my personal information. The dispute supervisor won’t talk to me when I point out his representative is the one that told me it would be reopening on 2 separate occasions but will talk through a representative.

Currently we're working with reduced staff...signage on door. There was a line to the front door, sat at 1230pm. SMHI knew exactly what to expect, the wait was horrible. I waited inline for them to tell me that they dont do shared banking. In other words, I couldnt not transfer my money from one to credit to the other. My other two credit unions have this option.I have other credit union accts, never ever a wait in 30yrs.So why did I endure this wasted 45min? I failed to ask if they provided the service I needed, so I will take the hit on this one, never assume anything....They have a excellent CD rate currently, so yes I will be coming back to do some business with them.Customer service was polite and professional, they get a 10 stars all day! Its not the staffs fault that have no staff.
