Truck number 122-1500I gave a way to shoulder parked truck with triangle reflectors placed on road. Your driver came on speed behind me when I went to passing lane to move over for shoulder parked vehicle.which is by lawBut Your driver just defensively drive on the roads of interstate highway 20/59 E, i was in passing lane, he’s tryna covered my drive lane nd won’t let me pass. When about to pass he kept pressing his acceleration or slowing down to not giving me a way. He is defensive driver.

The movers were exceptional, however customer service has been terrible. During the move, the lead mover came and told us they had damaged our golf cart. They were unable to get it in gear to drive it off the truck so they had to drag it. We filed the claim as instructed by the driver/lead. United had their adjuster come out and after review the claim. The side of his car said Appliance Repair. He denied the claim saying he as able to put it in gear. We were told we would have to pay $300 to file a dispute. All we had asked was for them to have someone who repaired golf carts check it out. We drove it ourselves for 10 minutes and noticed an odor like metal burning. This issue is still unresolved.I received a response this afternoon from the owner referring to an email providing resolution. Unfortunately neither my wife nor I have received such email. We have now left a 3rd voice mail.UPDATE: The response to this email made it sound as though Nilson was in the process of taking care of us. Unfortunately that would be incorrect. However, Chuck from the Claims department did return the 3rd voice mail last evening and stated it would be unlikely they would take responsibility any damage as we couldn't prove they caused the damage, even if their driver specifically told us that he caused the damage. This has been on-going since our move date of August 28th. Short of having the driver sign an affidavit and having 3rd party witnesses I am unsure what else we could have done. It is extremely disappointing the amount of effort we have expended with the only request of having a qualified individual assess the extent of the damage. This afternoon we had a golf cart repair company come out. As he backed out the golf cart (same process as completed by the "adjuster") he identified that there was damage to the brake cable and the adjuster was off. He is going to take it back to his shop to determine if there was any further damage.

United Van Lines partnered with Nilson Van and Storage and had I known that United was going to sub out the job to Nilson, I would have NEVER selected United. I was moving my parents, an 89 year-old and 85 year-old from SC to IL. Timing was critical due to their health and my arranging the move long-distance. The cost was almost twice as much as other companies but the United rep (who did an inventory of my parents home) promised everything that I requested. Needless to say, they company didn't come through with ANY THING THAT WAS PROMISED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The entire experience was horrible. Let's start with the promise of the pick-up (Fri., 10/19). When the movers were late, I called Nilson only to be told that "the truck broke down" and they had no idea when the contents would be packed. My parents and I had a flight to catch and had to leave their home without knowing when their belongings would be packed. It was such a nightmare. When I was finally told that the contents were packed and that we would receive them the following Saturday (10/27), the last day in "promised" window, I got an email the day before saying that the truck wasn't even packed and that things wouldn't arrive until the following week. Sorry for the lengthy message, but this company is UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE. DO NOT USE THEM! United Van Lines needs to do their due-diligence when selecting other companies to do their work.

There are not many choices for interstate movers , so I found them and had them come out for an estimate. The estimator was on time and even though they were high, I went with them due to his sales pitch of how responsible the drivers are and how experienced they are. He also assured me that it was a slow time of year and I would wait no more than a week for my furniture to arrive. The pickup was from a whole different company. Apparently they are tied to Allied movers. My crew was from North Carolina. I was disappointed to see a whole house being moved by 2 guys but the load up went ok. We then waited and waited and it was almost 2 weeks until my furniture finally came. During this time you have a moving coordinator whose job is to keep you updated. I made more calls to them than they ever did to me. Fast forward to the delivery date. Again 2 movers only. One being the owner of the truck and one his brother in law ( who is not a mover by trade). It took hours and hours to unload my furniture. It had sat on this truck for the whole two weeks in a hot and humid environment. This caused fabric to get ruined from the moving blanket dye, strap marks on my furniture and everything to have a wilted appearance. The worst part of this story is what went on in my bathroom. Apparently one of the movers had an "accident" while in the bathroom. They used my bath rug to wipe it up and then shoved in the hamper in my closet. UGH . The worst . We had damaged furniture , and a rug and bathroom with human waste on it. We complained to Mayflower who refered us to the insurance co. They decided all my damages were worth a little over $200 which I paid almost $500 extra just for the insurance. Not sure I will EVER get over this and I would NEVER EVER use them or their affiliates again.

We work for another United Van Lines, what branch none of your buisness. We asked to buy boxes from them 10 1.5s, 10 3.1s and 10 4.5s. They said they couldn't spare any. But yet warehouse was full of boxes. You can see them in front of the nasty trashy loading dock. Packers were not in uniform. Much less the other workers were wearing baggy shorts downn to their ankles. You know all United should cooperate with each other, but they didnt. So in that case we have them in mind when the next time they pull up to our company they will be remembered. They also estimated this job shorting us these boxes. Making our company look bad. Long story short we ended up at a UHAUL place where we were greeted with kindness and boxes. If you want to see how your furniture would look like when moved by them just look at their actual property. Very trashy, dirty, nasty mattress outside ruined.

Moved from Columbia, SC, to Chicago, the advance team very accurately assessed how much my items would weigh with a binding agreement. Daniel and Charlie based out of Nashville very timely loaded up my cargo and delivered exactly when they said they would, even in the mist of a major snowstorm they still take their time and were careful with the cargo in trying to be preventative bringing snow into the home. I would absolutely use Mayflower and Nilson Van & Storage again.
