I only give this place a one star. Because the guy at the counter was really nice. But at the same time I feel like they tried to get over on me. I took my car to autozone. And I found out that 1 of my cylinders wa's mis-firing. When I got it to Pep Boys after explaining everything to the guy clearly he suggested. And after running all of his staff due to the computer tried to suggest that everything for the work that I need to done with the $1800. I told him that was not necessary. I had just had one done. The part only cost me $70. I paid no more than $200 to get this work done. He tried to say that it would take 4 hours to do something. I know would never take that much time. That I still knew I did not need. I have to talk and I ask them to, they know if any mechanics that I. I could go to that could fix the apart for me. He suggested that I go next door to primos. When I went over there, the mechanic was very nice. He was very sweet. He fixed my car in an hour and charged me. A $170 for labor and the part. Thank God but I would never go back to Pep Boys ever again. Pep boys are very intuitive and honest. Brought my vehicle there twice and they did a good job. They also do Uber and lyft inspections. Usually cost around $19 and are pretty quick. I was in and out in less than 20 mins.

???Long read???I have never conducted business with Pep Boys in the past. I needed some work done, so naturally; this would be my first experience.The first interaction and the “face” of Pep Boys (at this particular moment) was a gentleman named Chris. Chris now enters into our business relationship as an individual that cares about his job and his customers. Chris and I were able to discuss exactly what I was needing and with his great knowledge of the business, assisted me in generating a fantastic service sheet for the following day that covered all of my vehicles needs. I was able to leave there in conference, knowing that when I return the following day, all will be handled responsibly and efficiently by Chris and his crew.On the following day; I returned, excited. A new “face” of Pep Boys awaits me behind the counter by the name of Michael. Thanks to the hard work Chris did the day before, Michael was able to easily get my service confirmed and have me checked-in in a timely manner. (This is a good opportunity to put out there that Pep Boys offers a 10% off discount for Military). Michael (a fellow Veteran) thank you for being not only an awesome representative of Pep Boys but also for your service. You definitely helped make the process go smoothly.Which leads me into the checkout process. After the great service provided by Chris with creating the order sheet I needed for service and the much appreciated check-in process with Michael, I just knew that checkout would be no different of quality. And I was absolutely correct in my assumptions. Here’s where I met Josh. Josh clearly explained everything I needed to know at this point, regarding my finalized paperwork and payment. He was a well-welcomed “nail in the coffin” on an awesome experience.Thank you, to all three of you. With your well-rounded knowledge, customer service, and expertise, you made my first time dealing with Pep Boys very special. I will continue to look for services from Pep Boys in the future all because of you three gentlemen. I just hope the others can carry the torch.Thank you!-RH

Today, my car had smoke coming from under the hood. I called Pep Boys and then took it there. A diagnostic service was performed, to find out whether it was smoking due to oil or water. It turned out to be leaking oil from the valve cover gasket. Within about 2 hours, it was repaired and ready to go.The employees were helpful and friendly. I was so thankful that they were able to repair it immediately.

The service department was exceptionally professional and courteous. They remained in contact to keep me informed when parts arrived and when service was completed. Very happy with the service I received.

I had just left AutoZone on O’Neil Ct after they couldn’t tell if my battery or starter or something else was causing the need to jump start the car last few days…told me to unplug the negative terminal when I got home and if the car continue to run, it’s not the battery and probably the starter or if it cutoff, it would be the battery…but as I was heading home I passed PepBoy’s and decided to have them take a look at it, after explaining everything I explained to AutoZone and what they said, PepBoy’s figured it was the battery but to be sure, they’d do a 30 minute recharging and if it held that charge it would be something else which they can determine then or if not, it’s probably a failed cell (for free like AutoZone). And that’s what it was, now I just had to figure out whether to buy a battery from them or something cheaper from somewhere else; but I decided to go with PepBoy’s and they were Great from beginning to end for a lil over 200 bucks and peace of mind without running around town for anything cheaper at the risk or the car dying out on me in the process. ?♂️?????#REBTD?
