The worst Ryder location I've been to in the NC & SC area! Poor customer service, poor rental department. The fuel line is horrible and the wait can be over 25 minutes with guys walking off or around the parking lot without any communication of when they'll come back to fill you up! A guy (Michael) filled up trucks no one was driving, moved them to the other side of the parking lot instead of my truck with no regards to my time or a simple communication of the plan. EVEN AFTER I called the customer service # to get some kind of answers or info on how long it will take Michael comes back out and did EVERYTHING he could think of to stall instead of filling me up! I've been in SC for 10 months similar situations have been an ongoing issue I'd rather deal with Newberry or Orangeburg location than to go to the Columbia location!

Yup, had to rent a refrigerated truck. They are hard to find when it's hot outside. Called them up at 9 am...was in the truck by 11: am.

Friendly, professional and pretty quick. My truck broke down and good folks at Ryder got me back on the road.

This place. THEE most undependable fuel station that I am forced to go to. The company I work for PAYS for their fleet service so I am forced to only get fuel from Ryder locations. Which is limiting under normal circumstances. But on my South run, I HAVE to go to this location or the one in Orangeburg (which is 20 minutes off my route.) So this location off exit 5 would be perfect. Except.....THEIR PUMPS ARE DOWN HALF OF THE TIME! That is not an exaggeration. Their shoddy service has forced me on several occasions to pay for fuel out of my own pocket at GOOD fuel stations like Loves or Pilot. Avoid this place if you can. Actually, nevermind. They wouldn't be able to be of service whether you went there or not.

I’m apart of the truck rental. I came to get maintenance for my truck and trailer. Red flag one is they try to discourage you from getting any work done. “Oh we will do it but idk if we’ll get to it today we’re busy” mean while nobody there but one other driver and all bays open and it took 4 ppl change my tire. Secondly a guy comes out instead of inspecting the truck and trailer like I asked. He proceeds to tell me there’s nothing wrong with my trailer tires so I had to go show him where there was a gash in my tires. After that whole debacle I didn’t even want them touching the truck. I didn’t know it was going to be a hassle with trying to get maintenance done. It’s called preventative maintenance for a reason not wait til something goes wrong then try to fix it. Waste of time and a pointless trip.Although seem as if the guy who actually changed one of my tires was new so wish that young man much success. & hopefully better teachers.

Couldn't even find the place, had to go to Florence, SC. I guess I was looking for a huge sign. My GPS took me to a place with a bunch of trash trucks.

I Am a new customer with Ryder. The maintenance and salesperson are excellent and really good people. However, the extra charges corporate slips in is ridiculous. You normally never get charged what was agreed on. If you lease a truck with them stay away from their Ifta program. I am not very computer literate and was told to get my daughter to help me with an app I can't find so salesperson has been sending them in which ifta dept. tells me not acceptable. Meanwhile been charged more than I ever have been on one truck in two quarters than paid in two years. Do not let them into your account for I am starting to wonder accounting thinks they have free money. When you get your bill your charges are invoices # and poorly explained. Thinking Accounting wants to keep customers confused? Due to covid, vacations by( Ryder associates ) and all being busy I have a lease truck that is still not set up for what I needed ( electric braking system) which was told was no problem. Maybe I need to send them an invoice?Ryder has good equipment and the soldiers on the ground dealing one on one with me are great. But if I had to do it again I would have made them fulfill all promises before truck left the yard. Yes I would lease from them again but not let them in my account and started my ifta account back up. UPDATE : called the # they gave me and they didn't know who I should talk to. Meanwhile my bill had more charges which 2 out of the three charges are invoice #s no description of what they are for. Will not do business with Ryder again and gonna ride this contract out. Becareful and go over contract with attorney closely and do not let them draft anything out of an account and let someone else do your ifta. Also, Make sure truck is ready to go before pulling it of yard. I cannot imagine what they are making extra on companies that don't have a clue about trucking.

After waiting for a steer tire from 1130am till 4 something pm, I then had to wait for the newly missing right hand hood mirror glass to be picked up and then replaced. It happens.Eventually I got what I needed but the delay caused me to have to finish a 10 hr break in Columbia, then drive all night. Not very good for my getting some rest. 2 stars for eventually correcting the 2 issues.
