With this bank I can't even send money through cash app or anything else to send money. Also when I go to make online purchases it will block my card so that I can't make the transaction although the money is in my account. No Saturday hours, so I'll be closing my account Monday! No bank is going to keep me from spending my money as I wish to!

I went into this branch for a few questions I had about an auto loan that I opened in Charleston, South Carolina. I have never had an issue with South State until today. Kaylee was extremely rude, condescending, and made me feel stupid for asking the questions that I had. I was not understanding what she was saying and she just kept raising her voice as if that was going to answer my question.

The Banker here wasn't very forthcoming with helping me resolve an old Park Sterling account. She was rude, insouciant, condescending and just unpleasant to deal with.

My experience with this branch of South State is that they are very friendly and personal. I work in a student government position for my university and have to juggle a bunch of people being on one account. Every time I've gone in they've been super helpful and understanding and done everything they could to make the experience as quick as possible. The one critique I have (which is more about South State as whole and not about this branch) is that their phone based debit card activation seems a little buggy and I haven't been able to get their app to work at all. However, I'm willing to look past those details for the very cordial and genuine customer support they offer.

I cashed a loan check at this branch on 7/13/18 late in the morning. The teller kept telling me to take off my sunglasses even after I showed her my ID without them on. Then she did not ask me how I wanted my cash in denominations, and also did not give me an envelope for my cash. She was the only teller working at the time that I could tell. I can sort of understand the sunglasses thing, but how hard would it be to ask me how I wanted my cash or if I needed an envelope. Needless to say I will not be banking at this location for sure, and will deposit any checks from their bank through one of my accounts.
