Don’t know what you’ve heard but…..10/10! If they have availability, try to get your little one here! Supportive staff that cares about child development and family engagement. This is so much more than a daycare center, we’ve become family!

We’ve been part of the Sunshine House on Clemson Road for about a month now, and we couldn’t be happier. Our 3-year-old daughter has struggled with separation anxiety for years — she spent three years at her previous center and cried at every drop-off. We truly thought it was just something we'd have to live with.
But from the moment she joined Preschool 1 with Ms. T and Mr. B, she has absolutely flourished. She walks in happy, comes home excited, and can’t wait to tell us everything she did that day. She’s already picking up Spanish, making new friends, and learning so much more than we expected in such a short time.
One thing we especially love is that this is a curriculum-based program. Early learning is incredibly important to us we don’t want our daughter simply babysat while we’re at work, we want her engaged, challenged, and taught. Sunshine House truly delivers on that, and it shows in her growth and excitement for learning.
My husband and I have noticed a remarkable difference in her confidence and development. Moving from another high-end center that unfortunately declined in quality to this outstanding facility has been one of the best decisions we've made for our family.
As working parents, trusting someone else to care for your child while you’re away is never easy, but from day one the staff made not only us — but more importantly, our daughter — feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. The added perk of cameras and picture updates throughout the day brings us peace of mind and lets us stay connected to her daily adventures.
She loves her new school and heads there smiling every morning. We’re so grateful for the Sunshine House team for making this transition so smooth and for truly being a bright spot in our daughter’s life.

I want to say to any family looking for childcare “Please Go check them out!” The center is by far the cleanest I’ve seen, it smells amazing, the management team is so interactive and professional and the teachers are soooo loving to the kids! From the moment you walk in it instantly feels like home. I couldn’t wait to leave them a review 10/10 recommendation

This is a wonderful center , unfortunately my kids only attended a short period of time but in that time I loved everything about this center from the Code on the door to the nice and kind hearted staff especially in the infant room with it being my 1 year olds first time in daycare . To the app that allows you to see everything your child is doing all day from activities to lunch , to snacks , to pictures down to when baby took naps , wet , ate ect . 10/10 RECOMMEND! Hopefully future tense my kids can return.

My niece attends this school and I absolutely love the patience that the teachers display with her. They are very comforting to her and they take the time to understand her needs. I love how they get on her level and the creative learning style that they bring to the class! I would highly recommend! ☺️

My daughter has been attending in the infant room at this center for about a month now. The teachers are INCREDIBLY kind hearted, loving, and supportive. They get down on the floor with the babies and make sure they are engaged in learning through play, which is not something you see in a lot of centers! The center is very clean and professional- I highly recommend to any infant parents!

Currently moving from a different town to Columbia,SC I heard Sunshine House is the best daycare in Columbia but currently I can’t afford it realistically with the price of rent , abc voucher only pays a certain amount and most parents are a single parent house hold i would love for my child to attend but it’s expensive $320 is a lot for one week. I spoke with Ms.Tori and she’s very nice and answer each question I needed answered so if you do decide to let your child go there please ask for her she was a great help. But otherwise they need to lower the price

I understand why the reviews here are so bad. I interviewed at this place about a month ago. Whoever was interviewing me didn’t have a good presence at all. If you’re interviewing someone, at least act like you want to do it. As soon as the interview started, I already knew I didn’t want to work there. I was just ready for it to be over with. I’m a very bubbly person and while I don’t expect for everyone to be that way, have the decency to ACT like you want to attend the interview. She seemed like she didn’t want to do it and that was enough for me. No, this isn’t a review just because I didn’t get the job..I’m simply speaking on my experience. Especially with you working in a daycare..do better.

New director is so incredibly inconsiderate they changed pick up times and fined me and denied my child to school until a 40 unfair fine is paid.. over half of the time they don’t have staff to cover the students constantly closing the school due to lack of coverage. Choose anywhere but here thank God my child goes to school next year.

Don’t even waste your breath talking to these money grubbing liars. My husband just called and was told something completely different from one of their other staff members. I was told that we would be guaranteed a spot in January if we paid the $100 while he was just told that it wasn’t guaranteed nor was there availability.I’ve reached out to dozens of daycares and most had the decency to say they didn’t have availability for when it was needed. Instead of giving my family that courtesy, they gave us the false hope in believing that our child would have a daycare to attend on top of trying to take $100 for absolutely no reason at all. It is so easy to see if you have availability or not, unless you have no grasp of the children in your care’s birthdays and/ or your waitlist. I would highly consider fixing yourselves before this becomes a larger issue for your company.

I called to inquire about any possible openings for my 2 year old daughter. I have been in communication with Brittany at the Decker location. My daughter is on the waitlist there but she suggested I call this location and ask for Heather as well just to check and see because each location operates individually. I called and asked for Heather but Rachel answered and said she was the assistant director and could possibly help me. I let her know I was calling for an opening for my daughter before I could finish letting her know the situation she cut me off and said no we won’t have any openings until the fall. I had to ask if there is a waitlist and she said yes but it was pretty extensive. After a second or so then she asks well would you like to get added. Very monotone and uninterested. I kindly declined, thanked her and ended the call. It’s very disheartening enough when you’re a single parent trying to find care during this time with little to no availability but then to have encounters with staff members who seem to have little to no interest to help is upsetting. Columbia is a military city (families will come and go) regardless of what capacity your facility is at it doesn’t hurt to give the benefit of the doubt or extend some grace and say yes there’s a waitlist, it is a little long however we can add your daughter until we get an opening or you hear from somewhere else.
