Tried to check my truck in with a full tank of gas . The employee told me that I didn’t need to check it in and that he would do it . He also told me that if I wanted a receipt I was going to wait 15 minutes . I left and today I looked at my receipt and it had a 9 dollar charge for gas . The truck was full when I left it .

Dealt with this location for months never had any problems, loved doing business here, the mgr Kim was professional and very helpful she always made doing business easy

I’m not sure who owns this location, however someone put an additional lock on my storage door. Currently I am unable to access my belongings. The manager on duty stated, “I would have to use a locksmith to have that lock removed, it’s not their responsibility”. There are cameras located within the facility however I was told by management that they do not face down the rows of storage units. Anyone can put random locks on anyone’s storage unit. Beware of this location!!! Staff is highly rude and needs more customer service training ASAP.

Great location, definitely recommend going to this uhaul. If they can't help you they will find somebody that can close by! Absolutely appreciate the initiative these guys have! Great job and great attitudes!

Where can I begin... They are terrible, incompetent, unhelpful and blatant liars. The first day I came here to unload my truck and get the storage. There was an issue with the storage and I had to get another unit other than what I requested.In December 2022, my mother was hospitalized and later put on life support and then I got COVID. All this put me out of work for two weeks. I made arrangements and was told the fees would not be added. Well, I came to pay the bill on the date I made the arrangement was made on the 24th of December. I was told I had to pay additional fees and it was nothing they could do. Even though I was quoted one price to pay upon the arrangement, I was stated I had to pay another amount.The following month, I had fallen behind trying to catch up other bills but made sure I kept them aware of the issue and made an actual arrangement with them over the phone and came in and talked directly with Victoria. They all confirmed me I was good and that they see my payment arrangement. Told me I would be okay until the 31st of January. I came in on the 28th to verify it and again Victoria stated, "you will be fine." Well I go online to pay the bill and low and behold... They have added a $50 fee conviently on the January 29th (a Sunday)...I called and was told no one remember me coming here on the 28th.. so I got in my car and drove up there. When I get there, low and behold...Victoria comes up and stated yes you talk to me but I was only staying you would not have a lien yet. I'm like are you serious? That is not what I asked and she didn't even notate that she spoke to me in person.Today, the 31st of January, I have the lien and stated it would automatically post ... My concern was why did she not know that and told me I was okay. Later talking to customer service on the phone, I was told she was there assistant manager. Again, how does the assistant manager not know when the fees would be added.Side note: Victoria went in the computer and documented the whole conversation. With my job, I move every few years but this is it for me. I have used U-Haul for over 15 years but I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!This Columbia (Dentsville) local U-Haul has ruined the sutomer service experience for me!

This morning I received great customer service from the U-Haul Dentsville Storage from both the employee working at the counter and her manager, EJ. I was having a hard time opening a couple of my storages with my keys and became very frustrated. The manager and the employee listened to my problem and immediately reacted to resolve it. The employee walked over to my storages with me and was able to easily open the locks. I felt relieved very satisfied and apologized for my disgruntled attitude from my frustration.I was very impressed with how well they took care of my needs by listening to my issue and maintaining professionalism while dealing with my frustration at the same time quickly solving my issue. Thank you.

The worst service. Returned the trailer early and was charged a $20 fee for returning it after hours. I was unable to use the self checkin. Called and spoke to Katrina about refunding the fee and was immediately hung up on. Called back several times and no one would answer the phone. Finally someone answered and I was able to get a supervisors number. Now I have to wait to speak to someone. Spoke to the general manager and he was a complete a**hole. I will never use this location again.

The pickup location gave me 30 pads instead of the 50 I requested. They wrote down the mileage wrong (500 miles LESS than the truck had) and told me it had 3/4 tank when it only had 1/2 tank. They did not show me how to turn off the hauling option when the truck was empty, nor did they offer any assistance when I called to tell them the gas was incorrect. The overall ride was horrendous. The seat on that truck felt like the cushion was slanted downward toward the back rest so after our 18 hr drive my entire body hurt. With constant jarring,shaking and struggling this "truck" sure did not "Drive like a van" or "Haul like a truck"!! The truck had a terrible ride with constant back and forth jarring whenever I accelerated. Going through the mountains I was fully loaded with a 26' truck and pulling a car behind. Even so I could not get the truck over 40 mph on any incline. No one showed me how to use the trailer, so I had no clue about the wheel fenders dropping down, which made moving the car difficult. I will NEVER, EVER use U-Haul for any type of moving ever again.
