After banking with Wells Fargo for 10 years I received a letter in the mail stating that the bank did not have my SSN or ID on file and that I had 20 days to verify my identity with appropriate documentation at my local branch or my account would be closed. After providing my W2, drivers license, and U.S. passport, and being told that the matter was settled, my account was frozen. When I realized, at the gas pump, that my card no longer worked, I went back to the bank. Upon meeting with the banker, for the second time, I was told that I needed to provide my physical social security card to the bank to regain access to my account. I did not have my card so I ordered a new one from the social security administration. I then met with the banker for the third time to explain that I ordered the card and needed time for it to arrive. This is when he informed me that my account had already been closed. I was also told I could not receive my funds that day but they would write a cashiers check and mail it out to me NEXT WEEK! Throughout this process it became clear to me that Wells Fargo didn't care about me, didn't care about whether or not I had access to my money, and didn't care about losing my business. The feeling is mutual.

We just moved to South Carolina. I’ve been banking with wells fargo for years. I went in for a cash withdrawal and they asked a series of unnecessary personal questions. I believe her name was Jaymia and wanted to know what the money was for, why I’m in South Carolina, what’s my new address on the house we just bought, how long have I been in South Carolina, what was a wire transfer deposit for on my account etc. things that were none of her business. And even though I went in with my Drivers License & debit card it still raised “red flags” and said scamming has been happening across states and they wouldn’t give me cash. They’d only let me do a cashiers check. How can I “scam” on my own account when I’m the one going in to withdraw the cash from my own account? It makes no sense! We left and went to a different branch and the other branch had no issues with giving us the cash and asked no questions.

Why in the world is their only one individual working the counter on Friday? I stop in here about once a month and with 2 people in line its a doggone 15 20 minute wait because they only have 1 person working ??♂️, you all take our money for services, but its always a hassle to get serviced

After waiting half an hour to see a banker we left due to being completely ignored. The bank was not overly busy and there was zero sense of urgency on the part of the to bankers that were there during peak hours.
