My service suspension system light came on the dashboard of my truck, the truck was otherwise operating normally. I took my truck to Hardwick's for an estimate. The estimate that came back was over 4,000.00. I was told that the whole front suspension would need to be replaced e.g (struts, ball joints control arms etc). also, the rear air ride shocks would need to be replaced. I took the vehicle to Main Street Car care for a second opinion and the only thing wrong was the rear air ride shocks. Main Street fixed the problem and it cost me 1,200 to remedy the problem. I asked Main Street car care to carefully inspect the front suspension. They found nothing wrong with the front suspension. This truck, with 127K miles is well maintained and babied, and has not been in any accidents. I have never taken the truck off-roading. I don't understand why Hardwicks would produce such an outrageous estimate for work that was not necessary?

I asked them to inspect a car I was thinking of buying. Its first come, first serve. They were very professional and showed me some issues that would have needed to be replaced immediately. And they wouldn't accept any payment! Who does that!? I would highly recommend them to anyone. I will be using them again soon.
