Hill's Landing RV Park is a newer, family-friendly campground located on the Santee Lakes, nestled between Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie on the Diversion Canal. It is a smaller, peaceful park right on the water with a friendly, laid-back vibe. The park is beautiful and well-cared for, described as clean and the newest in the area. It is a great family-owned campground with gracious hosts who go the extra mile, creating a welcoming atmosphere that feels more like staying with friends. The clientele is a mix of long-term residents, vacationing people, and workers. The park has 102 full hook-up RV sites, with new, premier waterfront sites and beautifully landscaped lakefront sites being added, some with paved pull-through options. Amenities include a boat ramp, marina, docks, and a covered deck on the water with tables and a grill. The on-site general store is fully stocked, selling propane, gas, ice, fishing tackle, RV parts, beer, wine, and tobacco. It also offers pizza, described as delicious, and Hershey's hand-dipped ice cream and milkshakes, noted as some of the best. The restrooms and laundry facilities are very clean. The location provides deep water access for boating to the Santee lakes and, via a lock system, to the Cooper River and Charleston Harbor, making for a great day trip. Fishing from the shore is popular, with large catches reported. The park is undergoing significant renovations and improvements.
