Today was my first time going to Truist at all, and I was not pleased. They weren’t rude or outrageously disrespectful. I wanted to cash a check I received from
their institution and they gave me a hard time. The check was from their bank but they told me I had to open an account with them to do so. So I waited for the lady in the office to call me back. I think they thought I was a child or the check was fraudulent. This was the first bank I know of that required all these steps to not only cash a check but create an account with. Also, they said I wouldn’t be able to use my money until tomorrow…because I didn’t have my social security card, they couldn’t open me an account. Long story short, I just took the check another bank I have an account with. And , I don’t want nor plan on opening an account with Truist.

Customer service flew out the window when Truist took over. I've never seen a more blatant disregard for customers than in this place today. Closed my account. Won't be back.

Not only doesthe company that I do business with have an account there but I also have two plus an auto loan. The girls are always kind friendly and willing to help I know when I go in there I can always be greeted with a smile and a how can I help you they all seem to really enjoy their jobs. And it's a pleasure to have such wonderful customer service.
