I took my car in for a front end alignment. They got it on the machine, and they said the tie rod bolt was rounded off. They wanted to charge an additional $120 for labor to get it off and $30 to replace the tie rod, in addition to the $89 for the alignment. Before doing that, my husband looked at it and said the bolts looked fine to him. We took it somewhere else and they did the alignment with no problem and no mention of a "rounded off tie rod bolt". I think Brockman just wanted additional money and is trying to over charge customers by making up ridiculous claims of issues that aren't there.

WHAT AJOKE!! I Took car in with a check engine light on. Informed me what was wrong and I gave the ok to fix. When they called to say car was ready and the total they then told me that they had rolled down the windows and broke the arm that raises/lowers the window on passenger side and told me they would fix it for $200 (which apparently was 1/2 off)! I said ok even though I never asked them to lower the windows. When I got the car back there was still an issue which apparently was separate from previous issue so I called on Monday and it took 5 calls to get anyone to call me back. On my way back to shop the next day the check engine light came on AGAIN! Said they would get it in the shop and connect to computer in a few minutes and call me back. Went back 24 hrs later to see what was going on and they hadn’t even hooked it up yet! At that point I asked for my keys back and told them I would cut my losses and take it to the dealership!

Not sure about the automotive repair side but the sales side is not reliable. I have wrote this review twice then deleted. But I'm leaving it up. This was 2 years ago. Jeep was not properly inspected by the mechanics. Jeep was full of rust, leaks and other mechanical problems. Car lasted 1 week before it stalled due to engine leaks. First they wouldn't do anything to make it right then I complained to the lender they use for loans. They then offered to fix at their shop but I would have to pay. Then I complained again and they offered to fix and pay themselves. I declined because I couldn't trust them. $2,700 I paid at my mechanic just to make the car safe to drive. Not even to fix all the problems. Should have returned but my son had his heart set on it. You live and learn. Have since sold it. It was a money pit. And I was honest to whom we sold it to about the needed repairs!

Those mfers UNbalanced my tires when all they were supposed to do was fix an electrical issue and replace the battery. Second time they have done this. Last time, they said it was my struts and would cost $1300 to fix. Bs. I knew what the problem was and I took it somewhere else and lo and behold. Unbalanced tires. $20 fix. These people are snakes.

My husband's family has known the Brockman's for a lifetime. Our son has been looking for a 4Runner for about 6 or so months. My concern as a mom of course is buying a car from an unknown dealership. I called Mark and told him what our son was looking for. Mark was able to locate one for us with low mileage. Kristen assisted our son in his first purchase and was wonderful. Her 'motherly' instincts makes her a compassionate sales person coupled with her professionalism just makes her awesome. Our son said "I am glad I bought my first car here". She took the time to explain everything to him. She didn't rush him through all the paperwork and truly educated him on the entire process. She worked on finding him the best finance options for him and the best warranty. Thank you!!

I can not say enough good things about Brockman Automotive in Duncan South Carolina! A family member and I both purchased cars within a week of each other from Brockman Automotive. Both of us had the pleasure of having Kristen as our sales person. She’s extremely knowledgeable of the ins and outs of buying a car. And she is very understanding of everyone’s situation. Financing was a breeze! Just know that I have found a new dealership. And I urge anyone looking or thinking about a new vehicle, just go see Kristen at Brockman Automotive in Duncan. You definitely will not be disappointed!

Buyer Beware! The sales staff and office staff are wonderful, but the management won't stand behind their product if there is a problem. 10 minutes after driving off their lot with a used vehicle, the TPMS warning light illuminated. The tires and wheels had been swapped and upgraded prior to the sale. They failed to ensure that the TPMS sensors were installed correctly and programmed. I returned later and they worked on the vehicle. I was told that new sensors were installed and everything would work well from then on. 30 minutes later the warning light came on again. I had the sensors checked at another shop and was told that one had a low battery and another wasn't even recognized by the computer. Upon informing the dealership owner of the findings, I was told that they would not help me in any way--I was on my own! Again, BUYER BEWARE!
