Just purchased a vehicle for my daughter and all I can say is these guys were great to deal with. We were allowed to drive the car on our own and look at everything and everywhere with care without feeling pressured. All questions were answered and even had some cordial negotiations. The purchase of the vehicle was quick and easy, so I would definitely 100% recommend this dealership. This was our first time at this dealership and it was overall a very good experience. One thing I failed to mention is that all cars come with a 3 month 45 day warranty, which is something rarely seen in the used car industry.

re: 2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
Purchased 3/18/24
I bought a 2015 Jeep Wrangler on 3/18/24 from Lighthouse Auto Sales in Duncan, SC.
Buying experience was OK, and paperwork was tedious, but the vehicle was in very nice condition externally. After taking it for a test drive, decided to make the purchase, even though the muffler seemed a bit noisy. Visually inspected it and it looked fairly new so assumed it was a “sport” muffler.
On the drive home to NC (80 miles), the Check Engine light came on and it began to misfire occasionally. Arrived home OK, but it was still running roughly. Contacted Victor via their website and received no reply. Subsequently called and talked to him about the issue. He pretty much referred to the very limited warranty that came with the purchase, and seemed quite unhelpful.
Had a preliminary diagnostic done at Auto Zone that indicated misfire on cylinder #3 and coil/spark plug issues. I was unable to drive the vehicle until I could get it into service to avoid preventing any further damage.
After taking it to my mechanic, their thorough diagnostic indicated many serious problems, from the plug and coil issues to more serious lifter and cam wear. This translated to about $5,000+ in repair expenses, not including additional needed services I have to delay to reduce total initial outlay.
I contacted the warranty company after repairs were completed, but they wouldn’t cover any costs as they weren’t contacted prior to the work being done. This was only stated in the warranty contracts’ fine print and I was not informed of this by the dealer at the point of sale.
I wasn’t even drive it or get it inspected in NC to obtain registration or plates with the check engine light on. One shouldn’t have to access a warranty a day after purchase, and to add insult to injury, not have costs covered after repairs.
All this said, BUYER BEWARE! in trading with this business! If you do, I would advise you to have your potential purchase inspected by a trusted mechanic before the sale.
I’ll never know if they were deceptive, but they should check out the mechanical integrity of their vehicles before selling them to unsuspecting customers. I guess their statement “AS IS” is accurate!

Lighthouse, and Victor, were great to deal with. I bought a vehicle there and shortly after I left the lot a check engine light appeared. They ran the codes, diagnosed the issue, and referred me to a mechanic who could properly deal with the problem. He made it right! He followed up and was a man of his word.

I live multiple states away and approximately 8hrs away. I reached out about a vehicle on their lot, and Victor reached back out almost immediately to me willing to help out. Being as far away as I am, I was pretty intent on getting tons of info before coming to look at/purchase a vehicle. Victor did not hesitate to answer any questions I had, was very quick at getting me pictures I asked for, and overall was a pleasure to work with. Like anywhere you go, go in informed and ready to make decisions, and I’m sure you’ll get along just fine here.

So I’m a business person myself and I figured I would check the reviews . I’m from NYC so I shoot straight I found a car and my bank is willing to carry my loan . Spoke with a guy name David, I can say anything about the car but felt a little strange today when he asked for $500 deposit!! Hmmm. Not my first rodeo told him I just need him to send the info to my bank and my bank will do the rest!! All I need to do is test drive the vech and I want to take it to my mechanic.. so I see mixed reviews on here so I figure I would place my experience. Im not buying here got a bad vibe. All I can say is if they can’t accommodate you the buyer find somewhere else. Pay more if need be.
